Desde la Cátedra de Política Turística presentamos estas reflexiones desarrolladas por el Prof. Eduardo Alberto Díaz las cuales contribuyen a la sistematización de los contenidos de la materia como así también constituyen un aporte multidisciplinar a la misma.
El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar la influencia de los roles de género en la identidad territorial de las mujeres del barrio Estadio, Recoleta, Santiago de Chile. Esta investigación es cuali-cuanti, con un carácter exploratorio-descriptivo, transversal en el tiempo y no probabilística. Se diseñó y aplicó, una encuesta y una entrevista semiestructurada con diversas finalidades. La encuesta permitió realizar un perfil sociodemográfico de la población del barrio e identificar las mujeres que son dueñas de casa (rol reproductivo) y/o trabajadoras asalariadas (rol productivo/reproductivo), y conocer el uso del espacio y el tiempo que conciben las mujeres en el espacio privado y público asociado a roles de género. La entrevista permitió profundizar sobre los mecanismos que utilizan para establecer relaciones sociales dentro del barrio, y su participación en organizaciones comunitarias. Los resultados arrojaron diferencias entre ambos roles respecto el uso del espacio y tiempo, y las interacciones sociales dentro del barrio. Se logró determinar que independientemente del rol cumplido, la mayoría de las mujeres que participaron del estudio se sentían parte del barrio, forjaron lazos afectivos y sociales con otras familias del barrio, mostrando gran apego a éste. Esta investigación expuso que la dinámica social que sostienen y el sentimiento de pertenencia que poseen las mujeres con respecto a los demás habitantes y el barrio, está influenciado por el rol que cada una lleva a cabo, sea reproductivo y/o productivo.
