Ways to increase student's cognitive activity in higher education institution Annotation. The article presents the results of a study of the influence of the developed educational and methodological complex for the disciplines of the pedagogical cycle on increasing the cognitive activity of students of the educational program "Physical culture and sport". It is shown that the proposed approaches to learning have a positive impact on the development of students 'cognitive interest, which leads to an increase in the quality of knowledge in the disciplines of the pedagogical module, independence in learning and the development of students' cognitive activity.
Higher education has to develop effective means of pedagogical communication and teaching patterns as a result of the social and economic changes brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. Distance learning requires no face-to-face contact with the teacher. It is based on unconventional teaching patterns and uses modern means of informatization. The research objective was to develop a new system of didactic support in the context of a total distance learning format. The author analyzed the opinions of academics and students of two institutions of higher education. The research revealed some problems related to the use of traditional teaching methods in distance learning. The article introduces a new complex approach to the design of effective didactic support based on the psychological, pedagogical, and methodological features of distance learning. The paper also features various definitions of didactic support, its stages, and component, i.e. content, procedure, and motivation. The new approach was tested experimentally. It involved a rating system, which improved the motivational, emotional, and cognitive aspects of distance learning. A higher degree of formalization of information content also improved such indicators as universality, adaptability, multivariance, and multifunctionality.
<p>In the article, the necessity of discussion competence forming in technical university students is approved. It is proposed to use a complex approach for this aim. Methodology of complex approach elaboration is based on general scientific principles, taking into consideration peculiarities of discussion competence forming in students. Terms “discussion competence” and “discussion speech” are clarified. Discussion competence structure is given. Definition of collocation “didactic conditions” is given on the basis of semantic analysis. The article features didactic conditions of discussion competence forming, which provide factors of purposeful pedagogical influence on a student to form discussion competence. It defines the content of each didactic condition and the structure of pedagogical support for discussion competence forming of students. Problems of continuous pedagogical monitoring, interactive methods use and didactic support during discussion competence forming in technical university students are considered. Effectiveness of given didactic conditions for discussion competence forming of students is proved, which provided a theoretical base for the development of pedagogical tools on the matter.</p>
