Education s vital to every Filipino especially the delivery of quality education without compromising the health and safety of the students amidst COVID 19 pandemic. With the current global health crisis and government pronouncements prohibiting the conduct of face-to-face classes both in basic education (DepEd) and Higher education (CHED). Isabela State University has decided to roll out and launched its new approach, called telEducation. It has ramped up its efforts in fully implementing flexible remote learning for its students to ease its transition to what might become the new normal for educational institutions. This study utilized a descriptive survey method of investigation to secure adequate and reliable data. The researcher used this design to gather necessary data, assess and determine the challenges facing nursing education in the new normal by the nursing faculty of Isabela State University, College of Nursing. The questionnaires were floated through the use of google forms as a platform. The respondents who participated in this study were 15 nursing faculty comprises of 7 permanent as core faculty and 8 instructors under a contract of service. This study concluded that inadequate instructor training for new normal education; limited time for the preparation of modules, exams, and other related to instruction is due to the limited time of the university administrators or concern authorities to conduct since the summer class has already implemented. The said interventions made it more difficult to conduct due to the implementing community quarantines. Furthermore, there are numerous nursing-related experiences/activities but limited time for implementation; Students find it difficult to comprehend some activities due to the absence of physical contact of the instructor/s; faculty experiencing physical problems (eg. eye strain and frontal headache) due to long hours of exposure on computer monitor or gadgets are noted concerns in relation to the delivery of instructions. Indonesia already achieved the highest COVID-19 death rate in South East Asia. Securing enough vaccine is the only way to eradicate this disease by commencing mass vaccination. Therefore, this review is aimed to discuss Indonesia’s readiness to commence mass COVID-19 vaccination, discussed from biomedical, socioeconomic, and regulatory approach. An extensive literature study was done in focus to gather the latest information regarding to the efforts made by Indonesia to secure adequate supply of vaccine. Through international collaboration, Indonesia has established several vaccine-related cooperation with multiple organizations. Independently, Indonesia is trying to develop “Merah Putih” vaccines covering 6 parallel local vaccine research. The combined Indonesian efforts may secure around 300 million vaccine doses, whereas the government aims to vaccinate at least 70% of its population to gain herd immunity. If each person needs 2 vaccine doses, then the currently secured vaccines is not yet enough to fill the 376 million doses demand. It can be concluded that Indonesia still needs to secure another 100 million doses before it is ready for commencing mass COVID-19 immunization.
Worldwide, one of the leading causes of death and injuries are motor vehicle accidents. This study was conducted to explore motor vehicle accident victims’ experiences after vehicular accident in an attempt to further understand the phenomenon. It is important to know the effects of the accident to the life of survivors in order to make a specific intervention to their specific needs. A qualitative phenomenological design is used, using semi-structured, in depth face to face interviews to elicit accounts of vehicular accident survivors. Findings revealed that driving under influence of alcohol, over speeding, slippery road, and first time driving are some of the causes of accident. Five of the respondents had experienced disturbing thoughts, and some of them had dreams of the accident were happening again. Six of the respondents were afraid that it will happen again when something or someone reminded them of the accident or when seeing the place where they experienced the accident. The result of this study will help and assist health professionals in developing a plan of care to victims of vehicular accidents regardless of severity to have psychological assistance to avoid future problems such as recurrent thoughts, sleep disturbances and others. The study was focused on the behavioural consequences state of alcohol use among the students. The respondents were all levels of students of Isabela State University-Main Campus. The researcher used survey questionnaire and interview to gather data. The study found out that the majority of the respondents were under 19-20 years old, male, junior with allowance of 100-200 pesos per day. The Behavioral Consequences on Alcohol Use Among Students of Isabela State University-Main Campus were the following: First was the Profile of the Respondents, followed by the Awareness of the Respondents on Alcohol, Behavioral Consequences of Alcohol and lastly the Leading Factors on Using Alcohol. Based on the above conclusions, the following recommendations were: Clinicians are important to screen students of Isabela State University-Main Campus for alcohol misuse and provide persons engaged in risky or hazardous drinking with behavioral counselling interventions to reduce alcohol misuse. That those who do not consume alcoholic beverages should not start doing so because of the negative impact. Provide Educational Programs among Isabela State University-Main Campus students to enhance their knowledge about alcohol consumption. Since the majority of respondent were 19-20 years old, a similar study should be conducted regarding other possible behavioral consequences, awareness and factors on alcohol and should also be conducted with larger number of respondents. Reducing and controlling incident rate of Pulmonary Tuberculosis was the goal of the Department of Health thus coming up with a program called Direct Observed Treatment Short-course (DOTS).This study would like to know the health perception and management of household members on patient with pulmonary tuberculosis. The participant involved in this study are the household members of patient diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis from the month of January to March with highest rate with in the poblacion barangays of Echague Isabela. The researcher used a survey questionnaire and was given to 30 household members of patients with Pulmonary Tuberculosis wherein they have evaluated their health Perception and Management on Pulmonary Tuberculosis. The Health Perception and management of household members were acquired using the likert scale that was created by the researcher wherein the highest is 5 which is equivalent to ALWAYS and 1 or NEVER was the lowest. The researcher used a equivalent to ALWAYS and 1 or NEVER was the lowest. The researcher used a descriptive survey design to collect information from the respondents. The researcher used SPSS for the tabulation and determining the frequency and percentage, t-value and f-value is used to determine the difference of respondents profile and Pearson's r- correlation is used to determine the relationship between the health perception and health management. Results revealed that the Health Perception of the Respondent shown that they are in average knowledge about TB.
