Objetivo: Evaluar el consumo de antibióticos de reserva en pacientes adultos en los servicios de Medicina, Cirugía y Cuidados Intensivos del Hospital Uldarico Rocca Fernández - EsSalud; en el primer semestre del 2018. Materiales y Métodos: Fue un estudio observacional, descriptivo donde las unidades de estudio fueron 894 prescripciones de todos los pacientes adultos hospitalizados en los servicios de Medicina, Cirugía y Cuidados Intensivos del Hospital Uldarico Rocca Fernández atendidos en el primer semestre del 2018. Resultados: Los resultados indicaron que la ceftriaxona es el antibiótico de reserva más prescrito y usado en los tres servicios de hospitalizados: 54% en Cirugía, 31.76% en Medicina y 32.48% en Cuidados Intensivos. Conclusión: Se concluye que el 38% de los pacientes hospitalizados fueron tratados con antibióticos y un 54% usaron la ceftriaxona sin sustento y adecuado control por lo que se recomienda mayor medida de control para el uso de antibióticos como el grupo terapéutico y prescripción médica, de acuerdo a la patología para evitar el desarrollo de la resistencia bacteriana a de dichos antibióticos.
El objetivo del presente estudio fue determinar la presencia de metales pesados y determinar las concentraciones de cadmio y mercurio en conservas de pescado enlatadas y se compararon con valores máximos permitidos por el Servicio Nacional de Sanidad Pesquera (SANIPES). Las muestras fueron recolectadas del mercado central del Cercado de Lima. Los análisis fueron realizados por espectrofotometría de absorción atómica con horno de grafito y con generador de hidruros. Los resultados obtenidos fueron: las concentraciones de mercurio superan en 12%, siendo la concentración mayor de 0.65 ppm a comparación de SANIPES 0.5 ppm. Para cadmio superan en 23% siendo la concentración mayor de 0.16 ppm a comparación del límite máximo permisible por el Servicio Nacional de Sanidad Pesquera (SANIPES) de 0.1 ppm.
Objetivo: La especie Clinopodium pulchellum (Kunt) Govaerts “panizara” es una especie aromática nativa del Perú, según datos etnofarmacológicos presenta propiedades medicinales. El objetivo fue evaluar la actividad captadora de radicales y el efecto antioxidante del aceite esencial de las hojas de “panizara” mediante técnicas químicas y bioquímicas in vitro. Materiales y Métodos: La determinación de la actividad antioxidante, fue realizada por dos métodos de decoloración de los radicales DPPH y ABTS, a través del método espectrofotométrico. Resulados: Los resultados obtenidos en la concentración inhibitoria media (IC50) para el aceite esencial de panizara fue 2288,31 μg/mL y 3,8 μg/mL para el Trolox con el método del DPPH. Mientras con el método del ABTS, el IC50 para el aceite esencial de panizara fue 30,87 μg/mL y 17,04 μg/mL para el Trolox. Conclusión: En conclusión, los resultados indican que el aceite esencial de “panizara” posee actividad antioxidante dicha actividad se deben a la estructura química y propiedades redox, comparables con la literatura internacional.
Objetivo: Evaluar la actividad anti-Candida albicans in vitro del aceite esencial de las hojas de Clinopodium pulchellum (Kunth) Govaerts “panizara”. Materiales y Métodos: El material vegetal fue recolectado en el distrito de Huacaschuque, provincia de Pallasca, capital Cabana, región Ancash. El aceite esencial se obtuvo mediante un equipo de destilación por arrastre a vapor de agua, usando 5 kg de hojas frescas de panizara. La actividad in vitro anti-Candida albicans se realizó por el método de difusión en agar exponiendo actividad del aceite esencial a concentraciones de 100, 75, 50 y 25 % utilizando nistatina como control positivo. Resultados: El rendimiento del aceite esencial fue de 0,58% v/p. En la determinación analítica de la actividad anti-Candida albicans, el aceite esencial al 100, 75, 50 y 25% presentó una halo de inhibición de 25,233; 23,4; 21,433 y 16,2 mm respectivamente. Conclusión: El aceite esencial de las hojas de Clinopodium pulchellum (Kunth) Govaerts “panizara” posee actividad antifúngica significativa frente a la cepa de Candida albicans en concentraciones de 100, 75 y 50 %.
