• 195 • Resumen: Se realiza un análisis de las políticas públicas en materia de nanotecnología en México y según indicadores de la Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económicos (OCDE). La OCDE realizó una encuesta piloto a 24 países miembro en 2008 para comparar políticas públicas en nanotecnología. En este artículo aplicamos el mismo cuestionario y buscamos responderlo en función del caso mexicano. Además, agregamos la información sobre empresas, derivada de la encuesta del Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía sobre nanotecnologías, que también es un instrumento inducido por OCDE para ser realizado en sus países miembro. El resultado muestra la importancia y distribución de la actividad de la investigación en nanotechnología en el interior de México y en relación a sus países vecinos. En la discusión se trata la situación contradictoria de una relativa amplia cantidad de empresas que trabajan con nanotecnología en México en un marco de débiles políticas públicas de apoyo.Palabras clave: nanociencias, nanotecnologías, México, Investigación y Desarollo, Ciencia y Tecnología, política pública, política científica Abstract: This article presents an analysis of public policies regarding nanotechnology in Mexico according to indicators of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD
