The lower Davies Bouldin Index (DBI) is considered the best clustering algorithm based on the criteria that yields a cluster set. The purpose of this research is to optimize the clustering results using DBI. The data sources used are the number of villages that have school facilities and the level of education is obtained from the government website (https://www.bps.go.id). The level of education in question is senior high school and vocational high school. The method used is k-means. The results show that from the number of clusters (k = 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) the optimal DBI for (k = 2) is obtained with a value of 0.168 for Measure Type = Mixed Measures. For the value of k = 2, a mapping of areas with L0 (low) = 31 province and L1 (high) = 3 provinces is obtained. The final centroids obtained for each cluster are L0 (315 and 155) and L1 (1710 and 1259). Based on the results of mapping by optimizing k-means and DBI, more than 90% of the villages still have school facilities, especially at the high school and vocational high school levels.
The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of managerial skills of state elementary school principals in east Jakarta. The research involved 238 state elementary schools in east Jakarta and it had been selected from the target population of 588 state elementary school principals by using qualitative approach with path analysis methods. The research hypothesis testing showed that managerial knowledge had a positive direct effect on effective management. Therefore to improve the effectiveness of managerial skills of state elementary school principals in east Jakarta, thus management knowledge of education needed.
The purpose of this study is to Evaluate the Implementation of culturalbased education policies at the high school level in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Culture-based education is the mandate of the Law on Privileges (Privileges Law) which upholds the values of the sublime culture typical of Yogyakarta. This research uses a qualitative approach with an evaluative method. The model developed by Stufflebeam is the CIPP model (context, input, process, product). The results of this study indicate that the implementation of cultural-based education policies at the high school level in Yogyakarta in some aspects have not yet reached the evaluation criteria and improvements are needed, but in general these policies are going well and must continue. Implement for the management and implementation of cultural-based education in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) based on the National Education System and graduation standards. The results of the study can be implemented in all subjects in 3 model school environments with 100% student graduation results. The implementation of culture-based education referred to in this research is on the cultural values of the Special Region of Yogyakarta that respects other regional cultures, national cultures, and global cultures.
Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat di SMP Plus Yayasan Sirajussa’adah Limo Depok adalah sebagai sarana bakti sosial dalam rangka Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat serta penerapan Iptek untuk menyampaikan materi tentang ‘Peran Pendidik/Guru dan Peserta Didik dalam Proses Kegiatan Belajar Mengajar’ . Dalam rangka berbagi pengalaman mengajar sesuai dengan bidang serta latar belakang guru- pendidik di Yayasan tersebut. Bagaimana peran kita sebagai guru selama ini dalam mendidik dan mengembangkan kecerdasan spiritual, emosional, intelektual, etika peserta didik dalam kehidupan mereka, serta bagaimana pendidik menerapkan teori pembelajaran sekaligus memahami peran mereka khususnya dalam proses kegiatan pembelajaran bahasa Asing/ Inggris di sekolah tersebut. Diharapkan dari kegiatan ini para peserta yaitu guru dan peserta pendidik di SMP Plus Yayasan Sirajussa’adah Limo Depok mendapatkan masukan dalam pendekatan pengajaran untuk menunjang dan mensukseskan proses kegiatan mengajar di sekolah.
This article describes the management of Islamic boarding school students in the context of School Based Management (SBM). This study uses a qualitative research approach with a single case study method. Daarul Rahman Islamic Boarding School was chosen as a place of research because it is the oldest Islamic boarding school in Jakarta. This research data collection technique uses observation, interviews and documentation studies. Interviews were conducted with the Boarding School Board of Trustees, Principals, Teachers, students and graduated. The research procedure used in this study consists of several steps of research with case study methods namely research planning, research data collection, research data analysis, and making research reports. The analysis of research is done through pairing patterns. Testing the validity of the data through triangulation of data sources and triangulation of techniques. The results showed: student management in terms of acceptance, learning process, and evaluation of learning as well as graduated ties that helped in organizing education. Islamic boarding schools applied the principles of SBM namely partnership, openness, participation, independence and accountability.
