N‐Tosyl‐Derivate des D‐Glucosamins und seines α <1.5>β<1.6>‐Anhydrids lassen sich am N‐Atom acetylieren. Durch Detosylieren erhält man die stark basischen freien Amine. Aus dem 1‐α‐Chlor‐N‐methyl‐N‐tosyl‐3.4.6‐triacetyl‐D‐glucosamin lassen sich die O‐Acetyl‐Gruppen ohne Ersatz des Chloratoms nicht ablösen.
Es werden verschiedene u-und p-I -Fluor-Derivate des N-Tosyl-o-glucosamins und des N-Methyl-N-tosyl-D-glucosamins hergestellt. Entsprechend dem fruher fur die Bildung von Zuckeranhydriden abgeleiteten Reaktionsmechanismusz) erhalt man aus cr-1 -Fluor-N-tosyl-D-glucosamin (IV) 2-Tosylamino-2-desoxyu-glucosana( I .5)p( 1.6) (V) neben ~-Methyl-2-tosyIamino-2-desoxy-o-glucosid (VI). Das H-Atom in den N-Tosyl-Derivaten llrjt sich mit Diazomethan oder Methyljodid durch die Methylgruppe ersetzen3).
