Bayi berat lahir rendah dan prematur rentan mengalami berbagai komplikasi karena belum mempunyai kemampuan untuk beradaptasi dengan suhu lingkungan di sekitarnya, akibat ketidakmampuan mempertahankan suhu tubuh. setiap penurunan 1oC suhu aksila meningkatkan risiko kematian 75% (WHO, 2007). Angka kematian neonatal di indonesia sebesar 47% dari angka kematian bayi dan 3,5 % dari kematian neonatal yang disebabkan hipotermi (Diosko, 2013). bayi prematur yang dirawat di ruang bayi RS. Muhammadiyah Tuban pada bulan Januari sampai dengan maret 2019 sebanyak 10 bayi mengalami hipotermi pada awal kelahiran kurang dari 12 jam dan tidak bisa mempertahankan suhu tubuh normal. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan Pre Experimental Designs dengan “Static-group comparasion Design”. Teknik sampling menggunakan “systematic random Sampling”. Jumlah responden 10 bayi yang terbagi menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol dan kelompok perlakuan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dengan menggunakan alat ukur suhu berupa termometer raksa. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji t test dengan sampel tidak berpasangan. Hasil dari penelitian didapatkan p value 0,000 ( α < 0,05) nilai ini menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan terapi sentuh terhadap suhu tubuh bayi prematur. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh terapi sentuh terhadap suhu tubuh bayi prematur di Ruang Multazam (Bayi) Rumah Sakit Muhammadiyah Tuban. Sehingga diharapkan terapi sentuh dapat diterapkan dalam asuhan keperawatan pada bayi prematur.
