ReviewsHR 64 (1996) Los ejes sobre los que sintetiza Roses Lozano la poetica de la oscuridad gongorina (erudici6n, elitismo y hermetismo, furor po6tico, estilo sublime-con comentarios muy oportunos sobre la mezcla de g6neros-, dualidad docere/delectare) y los elementos de naturaleza ret6rica que le sirven de soporte formal (neologismos, cultismos, hiperbatos y metiforas) estin perfectamente organizados y engarzados, con una sabia utilizaci6n de los materiales con que trabaja. De los polemistas no puede sacarse mas, pero, como sefiala Jammes en el Prefacio, "queda, sobre todo, otra serie de dificultades, todavia mis peliagudas" (xiii).Aunque para captar el problema de la oscuridad gongorina se tendri que seguir prestando atenci6n a otros dos aspectos que Roses, por razones evidentes, no ha podido tratar, la tradici6n poetica y el contexto intelectual, el libro aqui resefiado es, desde luego, el texto de un s61lido estudioso que el especialista, el estudiante o el mero interesado en la obra de G6ngora debera conocer y leer.
