One of the leading Indonesian plantations is coffee, most of Indonesia's coffee production is intended for export. The purpose of this study is to analyze the position of competitiveness and performance of Indonesian coffee export in the global market. The data used in this study are coffee export time series data within ten years, starting from 2007-2017 by analyzing the largest export destination countries, namely USA, Germany, Japan. The Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) and Dynamics Export Products (EPD) methods are used respectively to analyze comparative advantages and performance of Indonesia's coffee production in the global market. The results showed that Indonesia had a comparative advantage in the global market based on the RCA method, then based on the EPD method, it was concluded that Indonesia's coffee products had the rising star position in USA. Meanwhile in Germany and Japan, Indonesia's coffee was categorized as lost opportunity position.
ABSTRAK Gambir merupakan ekstrak kering dari daun dan ranting dari tanaman Uncaria gambir (hunter) roxb, tanaman perkebunan yang banyak diusahakan melalui perkebunan rakyat di Indonesia. Negara tujuan ekspor utama gambir Indonesia adalah India, Bangladesh, Jepang, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapura serta beberapa negara lain. Selain katekin, tanin juga banyak digunakan dalam berbagai aktivitas industri hilir. Industri-industri yang menggunakan bahan baku tanin seperti industri kulit, industri tekstil, industri farmasi, industri logam, laboratorium dan industri perekat. Hingga saat ini masih banyak permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam pengembangan gambir salah satunya adalah upaya peningkatan nilai tambah gambir di Indonesia. Nilai tambah yang diperoleh dari pengolahan getah gambir kering dan produk antara seperti tanin dan katekin sebagai bahan baku bagi berbagai industri hilir. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai tambah dari masing-masing hasil olahan untuk mendapatkan gambaran pengembangan industri dan potensi pemasaran gambir di Indonesia. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah data sekunder. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif. Kemudian dilakukan dianalisis deskriptif terhadap data yang diperoleh. Analisis nilai tambah dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan metode analisis nilai tambah Hayami. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai tambah produk olahan gambir memberikan rasio nilai tambah dan juga keuntungan perusahaan yang lebih tinggi pada gambir yang diolah menjadi katecin, kemudian tanin sangat jauh berbeda jika gambir hanya dijual dalam bentuk gambir kering. Kata Kunci : Gambir, Katekin, Nilai Tambah, Tanin ABSTRACT Gambir is a dry extract of leaves and twigs from the Uncaria gambir (hunter) roxb plant, which is mostly cultivated through community plantations in Indonesia. The main export destination countries of Indonesian gambir are India, Bangladesh, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore and several other countries. In addition to catechins, tannins are also widely used in various downstream industrial activities. Industries that use tannin raw materials such as the leather industry, textile industry, pharmaceutical industry, metal industry, laboratories and adhesives industries. Until now there are still many problems faced in the development of gambir, one of which is an effort to increase gambir added value in Indonesia. The added value obtained from the processing of dried gambier sap and intermediate products such as tannins and catechins as raw materials for various downstream industries. This study aims to analyze the added value of each processed product to obtain an overview of industry development and gambir marketing potential in Indonesia. The data source used in the study is secondary data. The type of data used is qualitative data and quantitative data. Then carried out descriptive analysis of the data. Value added analysis was carried out using the Hayami value-added analysis method approach. The results showed that the added value of gambir processed products gave a higher ratio of value added and company profits to gambir which was processed into catechins, then tannins were very much different if gambier was only sold in the form of dried gambir. Kopi merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan perkebunan Indonesia setelah kelapa sawit, karet dan kakao dengan jumlah ekspor kopi yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan konsumsi domestik. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi permintaan kopi biji Indonesia di pasar Internasional. Metode analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah model Linear Approximate Almost Ideal Demand System (LA/AIDS) dengan menggunakan data time series dari tahun 1995 hingga 2017 dengan HS 090111. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi permintaan kopi biji Indonesia di Amerika Serikat adalah harga kopi row, Carea NTM, di Jepang adalah harga kopi Vietnam, populasi Jepang dan NTR Jepang terhadap Dollar, di Jerman adalah harga row dan Carea NTM. Kopi Indonesia bersifat elastis di negara importir utama Amerika Serikat, Jepang dan Jerman. Berdasarkan nilai elastisitas silang kopi Indonesia bersifat inelastis, kopi Indonesia bersifat komplementer dengan kopi Vietnam di pasar Amerika Serikat, sementara di pasar Jepang dan Jerman bersifat substitusi.
Feed cost is the biggest cost in livestock business, which reaches 60-70% of all production costs. Feed cost can be reduced by using alternative feed ingredients that have high value, relatively cheap prices, easy to obtain and safe for consumption, and ones of its is Azolla pinnata. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method with 5 (five) treatments and 4 (four) replications on 100 broilers. Each experimental unit is occupied by 5 (five) starter period broilers. The percentage of fresh Azolla pinnata in the ration of this experiment are; 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%. Broiler are maintained and retrieved data for 4 weeks. Parameters that observed were chicken weight, feed consumption and feed conversion. The results showed that the percentage of Azolla pinnata significantly affected the chicken weight and feed consumption, but the effect was not significant on feed conversion. The best use of fresh Azolla pinnata is at 10% level in the ration. Using azolla 10% in the ration can reduce the costs for commercial feed use up to 9.9% of total feed consumption.
This study aims to determine the effect of brand awareness, brand associations, perceived quality, and brand loyalty to purchase decisions of French Fries. The research is quantitative and the sampling technique is purposive sampling, with 100 respondents. The researcher applies multiple regression analysis as data analysis techniques. Findings. The results show that all brand equity variables affect to purchasing decision of French fries. To improve brand awareness, corporate needs to advertise products on television and social media such as Instagram or food platforms. For brand association improvement, producers need to create new French Fries flavor. Attractive packaging design and usage instructions for perceived quality improvement. In brand loyalty must maintain consistency of product taste.
Agricultural policy in any country causes intended and unintended impact on related sectors. Essentially, introduction of new commodity policy changes incentive structure to participating farmers of the sector. Policy analysis matrix (PAM) provides a framework and tools of analysis regarding the impact of policy change in simple but quantitative measure. This PAM analysis concerned mainly on the potato sector at sample area, Banjarnegara. The aim of this study was to analyze the impact of policies on the competitiveness of potatoes in Banjarnegara district, Central Java. Location of the research conducted in Banjarnegara district, the analysis method that used in this study are qualitative and quantitative analysis. Qualitative method is used to study the location decribe general description while quantitative method is used to analyze the competitiveness of the potato and the impact of government policies that analyzes the Policy Analysis Matrix. The analysis showed that potato farming in Central Java Banjarnegara district competitiveness, however, a policy that protects the price of potato output needs to be done so that the domestic potato can compete with the price of imported potatoes.Keywords : Competitiveness, Potatoes, Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM)
PT Bogor Kopi Indonesia is a company engaged in the field of coffee marketing and coaching for coffee farmers in the Bogor Regency area. Currently, the consumption rate of coffee and its derivative products is increasing, causing the demand for coffee agricultural products to also increase. This encourages the coffee industry for upscaling their strategy to capture these opportunities. The purpose of this research is to find out the exact strategy for PT Bogor Kopi Indonesia to develop their. This study uses the IFE and EFE matrices as identification tools related to the company's internal and external factors, the IE matrix indicate the position of the business strategy, and uses SWOT analysis to determine what strategy the company will run. The results obtained show that PT Bogor Kopi Indonesia is in a hold and maintain position with a weighted average IFE of 2.6 and EFE of 2.7. Based on the results of the study, the strategy used is market development in the form of digital marketing applications as a form of PT Bogor Kopi Indonesia's marketing channel. This application is also a form of company adaptation to the current digitalization era. Through this strategy, it is hoped that the market for the company's products will have a wider reach and be increasingly recognized by the public so that the branding of Bogor Kopi Indonesia will also be increasingly recognized by the public.
