A 1:4 model is made to study the fatigue performance of the composite joint for double-deck composite truss bridge. The test results show that the joint remains in a linear elastic state under the fatigue loading. Under constant amplitude loading, the stiffness of the joint reduces gradually. The number of cracks at the interface of steel and concrete is small and the crack length propagates slowly. This study shows that the composite joint has enough fatigue strength and fatigue life. It is also expected that the results presented in this paper would be useful as references for the further research and the design of truss bridge and composite joint.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
