An experiment was conducted for 30 days to evaluate the performance of finisher broiler chickens fed maggot meal as a supplement in the commercial diets on their performance of finisher broiler chickens. Maggot meal was analysed to contain 40.12% CP, 10.97% CF, 6.88% EE, 15.88% ash. The four treatments used in this experiment were: (1) T0: commercial ration without maggot meal; (2) T1: commercial ration with 75% maggot meal; (3) T2: commercial ration with 50% maggot meal; and (4) T3: commercial ration added with 25% maggot meal. Statistical analyses showed that the treatments did not affect (P<0.05) feed consumption. However, they did effect (P>0.05) daily weight gain and feed efficiency of the birds. Maggot supplementation could reduce 25% commercial ration fed to broiler chickens.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh ketebalan mulsa organic kirinyuh (Chromolaena odorata) terhadap kandungan protein kasar (PK), serat kasar (SK) dan kandungan mineral kalsium (Ca) rumput Mulato(Brachiaria hybrid cv. Mulato) panen ke-3. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan yaitu: R0= tanpa mulsa (perlakuan Kontrol), 2) R1= ketebalan mulsa 1 cm (60 gr/polybag), 3) R2= ketebalan mulsa 3 cm (180 gr/polybag), 4) R3= ketebalan mulsa 5 cm (300 gr/polybag) dan setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 4 kali sehingga terdapat 16 unit percobaan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Analisis Of Variance (ANOVA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan protein kasar (%) R0: 6,72, R1: 7,74, R2: 7,75, R3: 8,52, Serat Kasar (%) R0: 40,69, R1: 40,76, R2: 40,96, R3: 41,11 dan Mineral Kalsium (%) R0: 0,88, R1: 0,92, R2: 0,88, R3: 0,86. Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa kandungan protein kasar (PK), serat kasar (SK) dan mineral kalsium (Ca) rumput Mulato (Brachiaria hybrid cv. Mulato) panen ke-3 pada setiap perlakuan memberikan pengaruh yang tidak nyata (P>0,05). Dapat disimpulakn dari penelitian ini bahwa pemberian mulsa organik kirinyuh (Chromolaena odorata) hingga sebanyak 300gr per polybag belum mampu memberikan pengaruh terhadap kandungan protein kasar, serat kasar dan mineral kalsium rumput Brachiariahibrid cv.Mulato pada panen ketiga
Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Lapangan Terpadu Lahan Kering Kepulauan, Universitas Nusa Cendana. Tujuan dilaksanakannya penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui pangaruh ketebalan mulsa organik Ki Rinyuh (Chromolaena odorata) terhadap produksi bahan segar, bahan kering dan bahan organik rumput Brachiaria Hybrid cv. Mulato panen ketiga. Penelitian mengguanakan metode eksprimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang dibagi menjadi 4 jenis perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan sehingga terdapat 16 unit sampel. Perlakuan M0 = tanpa mulsa, M1 = ketebalan 1 cm atau berat 60 gram/polybag, M2 = ketebalan 3 cm atau berat 180 gram/polybag, M3 = ketebalan 5 cm atau berat 300 gram/polybag. Variabel yang diteliti yaitu produksi bahan segar dan bahan kering serta bahan organik. Hasil sidik ragam menampilkan jika perlakuan memberikan pengaruh yang sangat nyata (P<0.01) pada produksi bahan segar dan bahan kering namun memberikan pengaruh yang tidak nyata (P>0.05) pada produksi bahan organik. Dari hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa ketebalan mulsa organik Ki Rinyuh (Chromolaena odorata) mampu meningkatkan produksi bahan segar, bahan kering, dan bahan organik rumput Brachiaria Hybrid cv. Mulato pada panen ke-tiga, serta pada perlakuan M3 dengan ketebalan 5 cm menghasilkan produksi bahan segar (0,69±0,1), bahan kering (92,16±0,37) dan bahan organik (80,76±0,67%) tertinggi pada setiap variabel yang diteliti. A study has been conducted at the Archipelago Dry Land Integrated Field Laboratory, Nusa Cendana University. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Ki Rinyuh (Chromolaena odorata) organic mulch thickness on the production of fresh matter, dry matter and organic matter of Brachiaria Hybrid cv. Mulato the third harvest. The study used an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which was divided into 4 types of treatment and 4 replications so that there were 16 sample units. Treatment M0 = without mulch, M1 = thickness of 1 cm or weight of 60 grams/polybag, M2 = thickness of 3 cm or weight of 180 grams/polybag, M3 = thickness of 5 cm or weight of 300 grams/polybag. The variables studied were the production of fresh and dry matter and organic matter. The results of the variance showed that the treatment had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on the production of fresh and dry matter but had an insignificant effect (P>0.05) on the production of organic matter. From the results of this study, it was concluded that the thickness of Ki Rinyuh (Chromolaena odorata) organic mulch was able to increase the production of fresh matter, dry matter, and organic matter of Brachiaria Hybrid cv. Mulato on the third harvest, as well as the M3 treatment with a thickness of 5 cm resulted in the production of fresh material (0.69±0.1), dry matter (92.16±0.37) and organic matter (80.76±0.67 %) was highest in each of the variables studied.
