L’hôpital public français, dans le contexte turbulent auquel il fait face, évolue. S’inscrivant dans le paradigme du New Public Management qui vise à introduire des modes de gestion issus de la sphère privée dans le secteur public, les évolutions du cadre juridique transforment l’organisation d’un point de vue structurel en faisant passer l’hôpital d’une logique de moyens à une logique de résultats. Cette quête de performance des organisations publiques peut être facilitée par la mobilisation collective des agents publics. Pour autant le contexte des hôpitaux, dont le fait qu’ils soient des bureaucraties professionnelles, tend à rendre inapplicables les leviers traditionnels des conduites de mobilisation collective. Cette recherche met en évidence l’existence d’un nouveau levier de mobilisation collective potentiel, l’éthique du care . Cette éthique ressort comme intimement reliée aux professions du secteur de la santé. Nous proposons une étude de cas unique portant notamment sur le pôle gériatrique d’un CHRU. Nos résultats, comme le constat que l’éthique du care est en lien avec l’engagement professionnel des agents publics, nous permettent de dégager des recommandations à l’usage des managers afin d’encourager cette mobilisation en favorisant une prise en charge éthique des patients.
Les organisations festivalières ont de nombreuses spécificités et tensions de gestion qui créent des paradoxes. Cet article se concentre sur l’analyse des effets et conséquences du paradoxe entre le besoin de mobiliser collectivement les ressources humaines et les freins à l’action collective. Par le biais de l’étude d’un jeune festival public, les effets de ce paradoxe sont analysés pour mieux comprendre ses spécificités managériales.
