Demographic correlates were found and its effect on academic buoyancy was obtained through regression analysis. The sample consists of 1200 high school students belonging to three different boards of Lucknow City. Multiple regression analysis was done in variables where independent variables which are non-metric and a single dependent variable viz. academic buoyancy is metric in nature. Regression analysis is done through dummy coding where predictors of academic buoyancy are found by keeping one benchmark sub-category in each category.
