The spread of information or people's direct experience with police will affect police image, either negative or positive. Unpleasant police behavior can cause distrust among people who are perceiving that police should act with good governance characteristics, with their main responsibility to protect and serve community. The feeling of distrust will make people feel insecured or even feared with the presence of police. This study aims to investigate the role of the sense of feeling secured to the public trust towards police presence. One hundred and fifty six participants were recruited from civil society. Scales to measure trust and the sense of feeling secured were employed to collect data from participants. This study was using quantitative approach with regression analysis technique. The results showed positive correlation between both variables, with the sense of feeling secured contributed 71 percent to the variable of public trust to police.Beredarnya informasi ataupun pengalaman yang langsung dialami masyarakat akan memberikan pengaruh terhadap citra kepolisian, baik berupa citra negatif maupun positif. Tindakan polisi yang kurang baik akan menimbulkan ketidakpercayaan masyarakat terhadap keberadaan polisi yang semestinya memliki karakteristik good governance, dengan tugas melindungi, mengayomi, dan melayani masyarakat. Perasaan tidak percaya tersebut akan membuat masyarakat menjadi merasa tidak aman bahkan merasa takut jika ada polisi di dekatnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran rasa aman dalam memengaruhi kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap kehadiran polisi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah masyarakat sipil berjumlah 156 orang. Skala Kepercayaan dan Skala Rasa Aman digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya korelasi positif antara kedua variabel, dengan rasa aman memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 71 persen terhadap kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap kehadiran polisi.
Proses pembelajaran dalam perkuliahan menuntut mahasiswa semester akhir lebih bertanggung jawab dari semester sebelumnya, sehingga adanya perubahaan, tentunya perlu penyesuaian baru supaya mahasiswa dapat lebih produktif dan berkontribusi untuk fakultas. Dalam proses penyesuaian tersebut tidak mudah, salah satunya muncul indikator well-being yaitu stress sehingga perlu peningkatan student well-being untuk mendukung kesuksesaan mahasiswa diperguruan tinggi. Pada penelitian ini mahasiswa diberikan terapi SEFT untuk meningkatkan student well-being salah satunya ialah komponen emosi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 13 mahasiswa sesuai dengan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan one group pretest-posttest design. Analisis statistika menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test untuk mengukur perbedaan data prestest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara pretest dan posttest dengan skor Z -2950ᵇ dan signifikansi sebesar 0,003 serta terdapat peningkatan dari pretest ke posttest. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menunjukkan adanya pengaruh terapi Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) terhadap peningkatan student well-being pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir Universitas Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya.
The era of globalization has affected the moral decline in terms of generations. Family, environment, and friends play an essential role as a source of moral knowledge and experience to keep generations out of moral decline. The purpose of the study in this research was to focus on the Islamic morals of Y and Z generations, born in between 1980-1994 and 1995-2009, based on the Ten Commandments written in the Al-Quran Al-Anam [6]: 151-153. This Research used 217 participants (Y generation=67, Z Generation=150). The method of this study used quantitative approach with Islamic moral scale which consists of 26 items. The scale was distributed online by simple random sampling technique. The questionnaire summarized the Ten Commandments into five values -Tauhid, Family, Humanity, Justice, and Honesty -based on cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects. This study found differences between Islamic morals in Y to Z generations, where Islamic morals declined from Y generation to Z generation. Then, three factors -namely Family, Environment, and Friendssignificantly influenced Islamic morals on Z generations. In this regard, the family, followed by peers in succession, played an essential factor in forming individual Islamic morals. In addition, there were differences in Islamic morals between generations.
