This chapter summarizes the detailed introduction, types of magnetism, classifications of ferrites and their crystal structure. In addition, this chapter has the main focus on the magnetic properties possessed by ferrites on the basis of the soft and hard nature of ferrite materials. This chapter summarizes the recent work on the magnetic and dielectric properties of ferrites. Ferrites are primarily known for their high resistivity and highly magnetic nature which makes them suitable material over a wide range of applications like magnetic storage devices, antennas, transformers and other high-frequency devices. A great benefit of ferrites nanoparticles is the porosity, mandatory for sensor applications too. In short, ferrites belong to the materials which are a potential candidate for widely spread applications.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
