Kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis penting dilatih sejak siswa berada di tingkat Sekolah Dasar.Siswa dilatih menyelesaikan open-ended problem agar berkembang pemikiran kreatif matematisnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh gambaran tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa SD. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SD di Kecamatan Langsa Lama sebanyak 48 orang yang mewakili siswa yang memiliki katagori kemampuan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes, observasi, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data dengan cara mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan menarik kesimpulan serta menggunakan teknik triangulasi data agar memperoleh keabsahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari 16 siswa pada katagori tinggi, 10 orang berada pada level TBKM level 3 (kreatif) dan 6 orang berada pada TBKM level 2 (cukup kreatif). Pada siswa kategori sedang yang berjumlah 16 siswa, terdapat 6 orang berada pada TBKM level 3 (kreatif) dan sebanyak 10 orang berada pada TBKM level 2 (cukup kreatif). Pada siswa katagori kurang dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 16 orang, sebanyak 2 orang berada pada TBKM level 3 (kreatif), 7 orang berada pada TBKM level 2 (cukup kreatif), dan sebanyak 7 orang berada pada TBKM level 1 (kurang kreatif). The ability of mathematical creative thinking is important to be trained since the students are at elementary school level. Students are trained to solve open-ended problems in order to develop their mathematical creative thinking. This study aims to obtain a picture of the level of ability to think creatively mathematically in elementary students. The sample of the research is the fourth grader of elementary school in sub-district Langsa Lama as many as 48 people representing students who have high ability category, medium, and low. This research method is qualitative research. The instruments used are test, observation, and interview. Data are analyzed by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions and using data triangulation techniques in order to obtain validity. The results showed that from 16 students in high category, 10 people were at level 3 (creative) level of TBKM and 6 were on level 2 TBKM (creative enough). In the medium category students who numbered 16 students, there are 6 people are on level 3 TBKM (creative) and as many as 10 people are on level 2 TBKM (creative enough) In the category less students with the number of students as much as 16 people, as many as 2 people are on level 3 TBKM (creative), 7 people are on TBKM level 2 (creative enough), and as many as 7 people are at TBKM level 1 (less creative)
The need to develop higher order thinking skills (HOTS) for prospective primary school teachers in facing society 5.0 has been motivating this research. This development process requires valid data regarding the HOTS description of prospective primary school teachers. The research is aimed to determine the HOTS ability of prospective primary school teachers in facing society 5.0. This is a qualitative descriptive study involving 125 senior students in the department of primary school teacher education. The data collection instrument utilized the validated mathematical HOTS test questions. The resulting score is then converted to an ideal score and mapped. The average score attained by prospective primary school teacher students was 57.01, according to the findings. This score indicates that prospective teachers' HOTS ability is in the fairly good category. The findings of this study can be used to improve HOTS for future teachers.
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan diperlukannya inovasi pada pembelajaran selama masa pandemic covid-19 yang sesuai dengan era revolusi industry 4.0 untuk dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa PGSD. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan modul digital pada pembelajaran matematika kelas rendah berbasis STEM untuk calon guru SD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model 4-D yang terdiri dari tahapan define, design, development dan desiminate. Instrumen pengumpulan data yaitu lembar observasi, lembar wawancara, dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data uji validitas dilakukan dengan mengubah menjadi penilaian kuantitatif. Hasil peneltian menyatakan bahwa hasil validasi modul digital pada pembelajaran matematika kelas rendah berbasis STEM untuk calon guru SD yang dikembangkan mendapatkan skor 85.65 dengan kategori sangat valid. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan modul digital pada pembelajaran matematika kelas rendah berbasis STEM untuk calon guru SD yang dikembangkan sangat layak untuk digunakan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai referensi bagi praktisi akademi untuk dapat mengembangkan inovasi pada proses pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi.
Advancement of STEM-Based Digital Module to Enhance HOTS of Prospective Elementary School Teachers. Objectives: The goal of this research was to develop a valid, practical, and effective STEM-based digital module to help prospective elementary school teachers enhance their HOTS. Methods: This was a development study employing a four-dimensional model. This study enlisted the help of five lecturers and 100 prospective elementary school teachers. Findings: The developed STEM-based digital module is declared to be highly valid to use with score obtained is 3.38 and also said to be highly practical to utilize, with a lecturer aspect score of 95.67 and a student aspect score of 91.37. The STEM-based digital module also is declared effective in strengthening the HOTS of prospective elementary school teacher students which received an N-Gain score of 0.69 in the medium category. Conclusion: The study's findings revealed that a valid, practical, and effective STEM-based digital module has been established to enhance the HOTS of prospective elementary school teachers.
The background of this research is the need to associate the mathematics mastery ability of elementary school students during the Covid 19 pandemic, including the mathematical connection ability. This study aims to determine the mathematical connection ability of elementary school students during the Covid 19 pandemic. This research is descriptive qualitative research by conducting interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques consist of data reduction, data presentation, and data conclusion/verification. The results of the study concluded that the mathematical connection ability of elementary school students during the Covid 19 pandemic was low. The implication of this study is as a foundation in developing mathematics learning, which can enhance the mathematical connection abilities of elementary school students during the Covid-19 pandemic.
