O artigo apresenta bases epistemológicas sobre temas relativos aos ao étnico-racial, o gênero e a segurança pública, a partir da intersecionalidade e dos direitos humanos. As problemáticas suscitadas pelas temáticas são interdisciplinares e pensadas de forma transdisciplinares, sob a perspectiva dos grupos vulneráveis. Os atravessamentos temáticos ocorrem por descrever questões complexas e implicadas por raça, gênero e violência. Essas mesmas questões requerem um ‘olhar’ no qual variáveis precisam ser colocadas lado a lado e simultaneamente para verificação de sua força no processo de sujeição ou de emancipação nos corpos dos agentes sociais. É uma pesquisa qualitativa e bibliográfica, neste sentido, utiliza a praxeologia, abordagem que compatibiliza ideias estruturalistas e construtivistas, para isso, separa as representações do senso comum para demarcar as estruturas objetivas, o campo; em seguida, realça a experiencia imediata dos agentes pela noção de habitus. Portanto, o debate epistêmico sobre o étnico-racial, o gênero e a segurança a partir dos atravessamentos e da intersecionalidade possibilitam pluralidades investigativas bibliográficas e empíricas na premissa do desvelamento das relações de dominação, subalternidade, violência e racismo.
