Introducción. La seguridad vial en los entornos empresariales y educativos se constituye cada día como objeto de estudio, debido a los impactos que genera en los pilares fundamentales tales como el comportamiento humano, la gestión institucional, la infraestructura, los vehículos y la atención a víctimas. Objetivo. Analizar el estado de seguridad vial en instituciones de educación superior con múltiples sedes con base en las normativas vigentes. Materiales y métodos. Empleando la Resolución 1565 del 2014 Colombia, se diagnostica la seguridad vial para la cohorte 2017-2018 con una muestra representativa de 602 sujetos, los instrumentos aplicados permitieron establecer las características basales de la población. Pruebas de Chi cuadrado y Goodman-Kruskal-Tau se usaron en el estudio para analizar relaciones. Resultados. En los hallazgos encontrados existe una relación entre la variable sociocultural cargo y los accidentes viales aceptable (Chi-cuadrado 0,54, replicabilidad de 0,604). También, la gestión institucional es insuficiente, afectando los demás factores y la percepción de seguridad vial. Conclusiones. Se concluye, es necesaria la intervención inmediata de las instituciones educativas en la sociedad para generar mejores hábitos comportamentales y conductas seguras en la vía, pues la seguridad vial es transversal en cualquier contexto sociocultural.
La electromiografía es una prueba utilizada ampliamente en el estudio de la actividad eléctrica de los músculos y nervios usualmente con fines médicos para medir la salud de músculos y nervios en pacientes, sin embargo, la similitud de las señales generadas en este estudio con las usadas en robótica en los sistemas de control, ha abierto la posibilidad de usarlas a aplicaciones de bio-medica. Este artículo presenta un prototipo para el control de un paletizador con un grado de libertad a través de señales electromiograficas, el prototipo se diseñó mediante electrónica digital y permite el control del paletizador en tiempo real. El diseño es modular y consta de los siguientes módulos: adquisición y filtrado; procesamiento y sistema de decisión electrónico digital y, por último, la interfaz control-potencia que permite la interacción humano máquina de forma amigable. El filtrado y procesamiento de las señales EMG reduce el ruido experimental permitiendo establecer un patrón en las señales de potencia. Se logra un sistema de control robusto que opera en tiempo real mediante el valor efectivo de potencia y en adición, la interfaz humano maquina ayuda en la interpretación de las variables de control. Finalmente, la incorporación de sistemas de control fiables y eficientes basados en señales EMG y electrónica digital, permite explorar una alternativa viable para el desarrollo de prototipos de bio-medica y de robótica como es el control de brazos robóticos en tiempo real.
Este articulo presenta un estudio comparativo resultado del diseño y simulación de un sistema de predicción de condiciones climáticas usando modelos de aprendizaje automático, en el cual, se confrontan los resultados obtenidos al usar una base de datos de condiciones ambientales, con otra base de datos generada a partir del tratamiento de los datos mediante el análisis por componentes principales. En la primera fase del estudio, se generan metadatos a través de los subespacios creados con el análisis por componentes principales, una segunda fase consta de elaborar un sistema de predicción de condiciones climáticas usando varios modelos de aprendizaje de máquina, los cuales, usarán como recurso los datos originales y los metadatos generados en la primera fase del estudio, en la fase final del estudio, se comparan ambos resultados con el objetivo de observar el comportamiento de los sistemas de inferencia de la radiación solar. La estrategia de tratamiento de datos propuesta permite extraer información de las bases de datos ambientales facilitando la interpretación y observación como serie temporal de datos, adicionalmente, se logra construir un marco de referencia experimental para la inferencia de la radiación solar usando diferentes técnicas de aprendizaje supervisado sobre las bases de datos generadas.
