Number of problems as cause of Covid-19 pandemic have continued to appear in various sectors as it rapidly spreads. In education sector, students are no longer able to study freely in classroom and even go to school to study. In this case, changing the way of learning is a form of consistency to educate them in various situations and conditions, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. In this study, we investigated how the response of students through prospective elementary school teachers in Indonesia to learn Citizenship Education which was implemented remotely at home with an online learning scheme during the Covid-19 Pandemic. We used qualitative and quantitative research method in this study. To collect data, we used questionnaires distributed to 508 students in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Bandung City, Cirebon City West Java Province by using Google Form. In addition, we also conducted some interviews with a number of students by using an online application to obtain valid data. Based on the research, there were good and bad student learning attitudes in the Citizenship Education course. A good student learning attitude was shown by enthusiasm in the learning-based video, while the bad attitude of students is shown by the lack of effectiveness in understanding the concept of Citizenship Education.
This study reveals the experience and readiness of elementary teachers to carry out online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Readiness includes technological, technical, and pedagogical readiness. Internet survey research has been conducted on 203 teachers consisting of 50 male teachers and 153 female teachers. The research instrument consists of two parts. The first part consists of 14 items of teacher teaching experience during the pandemic, one item about the obstacles experienced by teachers, 10 items about the devices used by teachers during the pandemic. The second part consists of 30 items on the technological readiness: technical (17 items) and pedagogical (13 items) of teachers to carry out online learning. The results of the study describe various experiences, obstacles, and the use of various devices in carrying out learning during the pandemic. Technological, technical, and pedagogical readiness of teachers tends to be high where the age of the teacher is significantly correlated with teacher readiness. Another finding is that gender is not a significant factor in teacher readiness.
Interpersonal conflict resolution education is peace education relevant for Elementary School students. This education answers the disruption that occurs in Indonesia, and influences the pattern of conflict resolution education for elementary school students. The purpose of this study was to see the understanding of interpersonal conflict resolution in students, and to evaluate the form of peace education applied at SDIT Sabilul Huda Cirebon. The research was conducted with a qualitative research approach. Qualitative research in measuring students' interpersonal conflict resolution skills in strengthening students' cognitive morals is a description of students' everyday social world at school. The object of research is the teacher at SDIT Sabilul Huda Cirebon City. The results showed that based on the eight question indicators. Namely the teacher's understanding of conflict resolution education/peace education for elementary school children, the purpose of providing conflict resolution education/peace education for elementary school children, a form of habituation of conflict resolution education/peace education for elementary school children, reasons for implementing conflict resolution education/peace education for elementary school children in, the form of school support provided in conflict resolution education/peace education for elementary school children, the form of awareness and ability of elementary students in resolving interpersonal conflicts, the form of changes in knowledge and attitudes shown by elementary students, and future school programs that will be implemented for improve conflict resolution education / peace education for elementary school children. These eight indicators were developed in the interview instrument for the teacher. It can be concluded that in interpersonal conflict resolution education at SDIT Sabilul Huda, the teacher's understanding of the meaning, goals, reasons, and forms of habituation of conflict resolution/peace education learning is very good. This is due to the support of schools that always provide counseling for teachers.
Student organizations are very essentials in developing basic qualities of students and share interests, talents, and potential in extracurricular activities in the organizations. In Indonesia, student organizations play an important role of developing the student potential. The purpose of this article therefore is to review, describe, and explore the benefits of student organizations. Data were collected from eight Student Executive Board (BEM) in eight different campuses located in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The phenomenological approach is carried out to uncover the usefulness of student organizations. In general, this article establishes that student organizations support the mastery of citizenship skills. The results show that there are 5 benefits students gain, including (1) Increasing civic awareness, (2) Increasing civic engagement, (3) enhanced the level of professionalism, (4) Instilling creativity, and (5) improved critical thinking. This article concludes that there is a need to carry out activities related to the management of skills in the planning work programs of the Student Executive Board (BEM), participating in scientific meetings, seminars, conferences, or training. This leads to a harmonious work atmosphere and wise decision making.
Introduction: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) can cause many problems in children. The main symptoms of ADHD such as inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity can cause social, family, and academic problems. Learning disorders are one of the problems that might affect children with ADHD. Objective: This literature review paper aims to describe learning disorders in ADHD children. Methods: The journals were collected through Google Scholar and PubMed using the keyword (ADHD) AND (learning disorder OR learning disabilities) with a journal publication filter in 2012-2022. Results: The presence of inattention and hyperactivity/impulsivity in children with ADHD might lead to various issues, which in a long term may affect growth and academic performance. Children with ADHD usually fail to concentrate during class and have problems with academic achievement. Working memory disorder and mathematical learning disorder were also found in children with ADHD. However, continuous assistance from the teacher can lower the problem of learning disorders in children with ADHD. Conclusion: ADHD children tend to have various learning disorders which might affect academic performance.
