Cover crop is one of nature-based agricultural practices that can increase the provision of various ecosystem services in agroecosystems. A. gangetica is a weed that is often found in oil palm plantations and has the potential as a cover crop. This study aimed to study the optimum planting distance of growth and potential of A. gangetica as a cover crop on open and shaded land. The study was conducted at the Experimental Field, Faculty of Agriculture, UISU, Medan, from January to April 2018. The study used a Split Plot Design with three replications. The first factor as main plot was shade that consisted of two levels, there were: without shade and 50% shaded. The second factor as subplot was planting distance which consisted of three levels, there were: 10 cm x 10 cm, 20 cm x 20 cm, and 40 cm x 40 cm. The results showed that A. gangetica has the potential as cover crop because it grew fast, cover land rapidly, adapt to the environment, and able to suppress weed with an optimum planting distance of 20 cm x 20 cm.
The decision to determine whether or not a journal to be published in Majalah Kedokteran Nusantara can be decided by using the Decision Support System with certain methods. One of methods used is fuzzy logic method and is applied to the Microsoft Visual Basic programming language. From the results of the research, the first step that must be done in determining a journal is published was to identify the problem and to determine how to evaluate the quality of the journal which is done by calculating the parameter values of the variables that have been determined by the editorial board. The parameters used in the calculation were title of articles, abstract, background, content, conclusions and bibliography. The conclusions obtained from the research is to building a decision support system to determine a journal published in Majalah Kedokteran Nusantara using fuzzy logic method was not so difficult to do, because it utilized Fis Sugeno Matlab application and by using fuzzy logic methods and utilizing fuzzyfication to get linguistic variables were very helpful in determining how a journal is published.
Potatoes are the leading agricultural product in Kabanjahe itself. Under these conditions, Kabanjahe has great potential in terms of agriculture, especially potato plants. The size of a farm's income is influenced by revenue and production costs. However, currently potato farmers in Kabanjahe are faced with a problem, namely the productivity of potatoes that is not yet maximized and the price of potatoes is uncertain, which will affect the productivity and income earned by farmers. This study aims to analyze the income of potato farming. The research was conducted in August 2022. Data analysis used income analysis and R/C ratio analysis. The average income of potato farming in Kaban Village, Kabanjahe District, Karo Regency is Rp. Rp. 29,967,190/ha/MT. The average total cost incurred in potato farming activities is IDR 55,321,810/ha/MT, and the average income in potato farming is IDR 85,289,000/ha/MT. This means that potato farming in Kabanjahe District, Karo Regency is still profitable because farmers' income can still cover the total costs incurred during the production process of the potato farming business.
According with the development of information technology and the expand of the internet in the community, the need for computers is very important to support the increasingly high utilization of information technology. Processing data and information requires speed and accuracy of data, to achieve it, it is requires an information technology that can support work so the work becomes more effective and efficient. PT. PLN (Persero) Krueng Geukueh District is a company that runs in the area of electricity and provides services to the community in the provision of services related to electricity, which has a large number of customers. The process of managing customer data at PT. PLN (Persero) Krueng Geukueh District has used a customer data system, but still has a disadvantage of requiring more time in searching customer data, to solving this problem, the author designed the development of the system using the string matching algorithm method, which is one of the most important parts in various processes related to data and text types, one of which is the search for words in customer data. The performance of the string matching algorithm is to match a letters per letter with the keywords given by the staff. The results of this study indicate that by using this method, searching for customer data can be easier. With the development of this system, it is expected that staff or admin in the company can do the work more effectively and efficiently.
Benih adalah salah satu faktor yang menentukan keberhasilan produksi pertanian. Benih bersertifikasi merupakan salah satu cara untuk menunjukkan benih bermutu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi dan tingkat kepuasan petani terhadap benih padi bersertifikasi. Lokasi penelitian di Kecamatan Galang Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah petani yang menggunakankan benih padi bersertifikasi. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 60 orang yang diambil secara sengaja (Purposive Sampling). Metode analisa data yang digunakan adalah analisis multi atribut Fishbein dan Indeks Kepuasan Konsumen (Customer Satisfaction Index/CSI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi petani dalam menggunakan benih bersertifikasi disebabkan oleh atribut benih padi bersertifikasi bermutu. Selain itu, kemudahan dalam memperoleh benih serta produktivitas yang dihasilkan sangat baik menjadi faktor lain petani menggunakan benih bersertifikasi. Tingkat kepuasan petani dalam menggunakan benih sebesar 87,3 persen yang berarti bahwa petani sangat puas terhadap benih bersertifikasi. Atribut yang paling memuaskan petani yakni ketahanan benih terhadap rebah serta ketahanan benih terhadap hama penyakit
Carrots are a superior agricultural product in Surbakti Village it self. With these conditions, Surbakti village has great potential in terms of agriculture, especially carrots. However, at this time the carrot farmers in Surbakti Village are faced with a problem, namely the productivity of carrots has not been maximized and the price of carrots is uncertain, it will affect the productivity and income obtained by farmers. This study aims to analyze the income of carrot farming. The research was conducted in August 2022. Data analysis used income analysis and R/C ratio analysis. The average income of carrot farming in Surbakti Village, Simpang Empat District, Karo Regency is Rp. 14,996,308.4/ha/MT. The average total cost incurred in carrot farming activities is Rp. 11,439,494,68/ha/MT, and the average revenue for carrot farming is Rp. 26,435,803.5/ha/MT. This means that carrot farming in Surbakti Village, Simpang Empat District, Karo Regency is still profitable because farmers' income can still cover the total costs incurred during the carrot farming production process. Pematang Kuala Village is one of the villages in the Mengkudu Bay District which has an area of almost 80% of which is mangrove forest. The existence of the Mangrove Forest is very important in addition to being a source of livelihood for the population, most of whom are fishermen, its function is also to protect coastal areas from increasingly severe coastal abrasion. The mangrove forest in this village is a mangrove forest that is managed jointly by the community to meet the needs of the community. Most of the village areas that are not mangrove forests are now converted into oil palm plantations or ponds which can damage mangrove ecosystems and coastal areas. This study aims to analyze the level of abundance, biomass, diversity and potential of fauna, distribution patterns of mangrove plants and fauna as well as the effect of conversion of mangrove diversity and the components contained therein on planted areas in the mangrove area to obtain data in Pematang Kuala Village, Teluk Mengkudu District, Serdang Be different. This research was conducted from January to March 2022. The study used data analysis techniques for diversity and abundance of the Shanon Winner index. There were 11 Mangrove species in total which were obtained at 3 research sites. Each research station is divided into 3 data collection, namely Trees, Trunks, and Seedlings. The highest diversity index was found in trees at station 1, which was 2.52%. and the lowest index is station 2 tree type was 0.15%.
