Achievement of learning process can be seen from student cognitive learning outcome. Learning model plays an important role in student cognitive learning achievement. The introduction and implementation of Peer Instruction Flip model and Flipped Classroom are expected to increase the cognitive learning outcomes of students. The research was conducted in SMAN 6 Tangerang on Mei-Juni 2015. The reseach method used was a quasi experiment. The research sample used was XI MIA 1 (Peer Instruction Flip model) and XI MIA 3 (Flipped Classroom model) and XI MIA 2 (STAD model) who collected by Simple Random Sampling. Prerequisite test analysis of normality was the Kolmogorov-Smirnov and homogeneity test with the Bartlett test. Based on calculation, data obtained was normally distributes and homogeneously. The statistical hypothesis with Anava one way test result on rejected null hypothesis at α 0,05. It can be concluded that there was effect of Peer Instruction Flip and Flipped Classroom learning model toward student cognitive learning outcome in Excretory System material.
Test is an activity used as indicators success of education that applies to all subjects including biology. Unfortunately, there are assumption that biology is a boring subject , too much memorizing, and that is not relevant for our life. It can increase the anxiety experienced by students during the tested. This study aimed to determine the relationship between test anxiety level and Learning Biology Motivation. This study was conducted in 21 Senior High School Jakarta on January until February 2016. Research method used in this study was correlational study. Population from this study were X MIA students. A total of 122 students used for this study were taken by Simple Random Sampling. Prerequisites tests data was homogeneous and normally distributed. Correlation test resulted -0,398 which means there was a relationship between test anxiety level with biology learning motivation level on X MIA Students 21 Senior High School Jakarta. Regulation test resulted Ŷ = 85.725 -0.312x, with X is test anxiety level and Y is biology learning motivation level. Determination coefficients resulted 0.159 that mean test anxiety have a contribution 15.9% determined learning motivation, while the other factor have a contribution too. Keberhasilan pendidikan sebagai sebuah proses ditunjukkan dari hasil belajar yang diperoleh melalui kegiatan evaluasi. Beberapa kegiatan evaluasi yang biasa dilakukan di sekolah mencakup ulangan harian, ujian tengah semester, sampai ujian akhir semester. Evaluasi tersebut berlaku untuk semua mata pelajaran termasuk Biologi.Biologi adalah salah satu mata pelajaran yang ada di sekolah menengah atas sebagai pendidikan sains. Dalam kenyataannya Biologi masih dipandang sebagai mata pelajaran yang menyulitkan. Siswa masih menganggap bahwa Biologi merupakan mata pelajaran yang membosankan, terlalu banyak hafalan, dan tidak relevan pada kehidupannya (Nugraini, 2015). Banyaknya materi yang harus dihafal dan pembelajaran yang cenderung membosankan membuat siswa menjadi tertekan dan dapat menyebabkan timbulnya kecemasan yang terakumulasikan pada saat tes (Zeidner, 2005).
Comics are popular among teenagers in which senior high school students included. One type of comics, digital comic, has recently become a global trend, which beneficial to be utilized as an effective learning media. In order to take benefits from this great opportunity, this research was aimed to develop a digital comic on immune system topic. This study was conducted at SMAN 13 Jakarta using research and development method. Samples were consisted of students and biology teacher class XI, media expert, and material expert. A total of six steps proceeded including need assesment, objective formulation, material development, instruments development, media development, and try-out and revision. During the try-out test, all samples were involved as users. The product received a very good interpretation from all samples with feasibility ranged from 81,3-90,9%. This result implied that this digital comic was qualified as learning media on immune system topic for class XI.
PENDAHULUANBiologi merupakan salah satu cabang ilmu pengetahuan alam yang dipelajari pada tingkat pendidikan menengah atas. Mempelajari tentang seluruh aspek kehidupan, Biologi merupakan ilmu yang berkaitan erat dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Selain menghafal materi, siswa juga dituntut untuk mampu mengaitkan teori yang didapat dengan peristiwa sehari-hari.Berdasarkan hasil analisis kebutuhan, 48 dari 95 siswa responden (50,5%) di kelas XII IPA SMAN 1 Jakarta mengalami kesulitan memahami pelajaran Biologi. hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, antara lain hafalan yang cukup banyak, kesulitan untuk mengingat istilah asing dan bahasa latin, serta media belajar yang digunakan kurang menarik. Berdasarkan hasil kuisioner analisis kebutuhan 32,94% pilihan responden menyatakan bahwa materi yang paling sulit
