Objetivo: Compreender a utilização de metodologias ativas no curso de graduação em Enfermagem. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa de literatura que teve como questão norteadora “Quais os benefícios que a utilização de metodologias ativas no curso de graduação em Enfermagem traz para a superação do modelo de ensino tradicional?”. A revisão foi construída por meio da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde e do Portal de Periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior, utilizando-se os descritores “metodologias ativas”, “ensino” e “Enfermagem”. Resultados: No que diz respeito aos temas abordados pelos artigos selecionados para discussão, houve predominância de debates sobre o processo de ensino-aprendizagem, práticas de monitoria acadêmica, dificuldades de ensino, planejamento docente e desempenho de estudantes. Quanto às metodologias ativas comumente utilizadas nos estudos, destacaram-se a aprendizagem baseada em problemas, a metodologia problematizadora e a análise das metodologias ativas no geral. Considerações finais: Infere-se que a utilização de metodologias ativas no curso de graduação em Enfermagem leva a formação de um enfermeiro crítico-reflexivo. Por meio delas, torna-se possível que o aluno se conscientize de suas qualidades e limitações na busca por melhores estratégias de aprendizagem. O emprego dessas metodologias rompe com o modelo tradicional de ensino, por tanto tempo empregado nas instituições formadoras.
Objetivou-se com o presente estudo analisar os riscos ergonômicos aos quais a equipe de Enfermagem se expõe em suas práticas laborais. Trata-se de uma revisão narrativa da literatura. As fontes para busca dos referenciais envolveram a base de dados Portal de Periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES), as bibliotecas Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) e Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) e o buscador eletrônico Google Scholar. A Enfermagem é uma das classes consideradas mais propícias a ocorrência de riscos ocupacionais, principalmente os ergonômicos. Os principais riscos ergonômicos observados para os profissionais dessa área são o levantamento de peso, a postura inadequada, bem como o esforço físico no trabalho. O empregado que também é exposto a intensas jornadas de trabalho sofre de desgaste físico que, no decorrer do tempo pode se converter em um agravo de saúde, ocasionando estresse, desmotivação, sonolência, queda da qualidade de trabalho e baixa autoestima. São necessárias a execução de medidas preventivas baseadas na ergonomia e na educação continuada como forma de proporcionar melhores condições de trabalho e qualidade de vida aos profissionais.
Objetivo: Descrever os aspectos epidemiológicos da meningite no Nordeste brasileiro no ano de 2019. Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, retrospectivo com abordagem quantitativa desenvolvido por meio do Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação vinculado ao Departamento de Informática do Sistema Único de Saúde. As variáveis coletadas para a construção desta pesquisa foram: estado proveniente dos casos (com inclusão apenas dos casos da região Nordeste), sexo, raça/cor, faixa etária, etiologia dos casos confirmados e desfecho. Resultados: No ano investigado foram notificados 2.487 casos de meningite no Nordeste brasileiro. Dentre os estados da região, Pernambuco apresentou o maior número de casos, seguido do Ceará e da Bahia. Entre os indivíduos acometidos pela patologia evidenciou-se prevalência do sexo masculino em 60,64% dos casos. Houve maior manifestação em adultos jovens na faixa etária de 20 a 39 anos, o que representou 25,81% do total de casos. A alta foi vista em 76% dos desfechos. Observou-se a meningite viral como a forma mais prevalente, representando 38,16%. Conclusão: Os dados apresentados aqui possuem relevância. Mesmo com a existência de imunização oferecida gratuitamente pelo Sistema Único de Saúde para os agentes etiológicos mais comuns da meningite os casos na região Nordeste continuam a ocorrer. Torna-se relevante chamar a atenção também para a subnotificação, com existência de casos que não são reportados às autoridades competentes.
