This study aims to describe the student's ability to solve math problems in the Differential Equation course in Polya's steps. This research is a descrip-tive study. The research subjects were the 6th-semester students of STKIP MPL for the 2018-2019 academic year. Data analysis used processed and pre-pared data, read the entire data, analyzed the detail, implemented the coding process, described themes, interpreted the data. The study found that the easy variable differential equation problems could be separated, 2 students understood the problem, 5 students initiated the solution, 4 students com-pleted through the plan, 2 students checked again, 2 students completed through the plan, no students checked again.
Background of the study : According to data from Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) in 2012, Infant mortality rate (IMR) of 32 deaths / 1,000 live births. The low level of awareness among pregnant women in taking supplements during pregnancy can lead to a variety of impacts for both the mother and baby, including the baby is born with low birth weight (LBW). Objective : Knowing Effect of Supplements On Pregnant Women Against Low Birth Weight Babies in Clinic Pasutri 2018th. Methods : This type of research is an analytical study using cross sectional approach. Respondents in this study were mothers with babies in Clinic Pasutri, the number of 81 respondents. The sampling technique in this study using random sampling techniques. The research instrument was a questionnaire and medical record that is presented in tabular form and processed using SPSS 16.0 type. Result : From 81 respondens obtained maternal pregnancy supplements during pregnancy as many as 53 people or about 65.4% with an incidence rate of low birth weight babies as much as 18 or about 22.2%, while women who did not take supplements of pregnancy by 28 people, or approximately 34.6% LBW incidence rate of about 17 babies, or about 21.0% of total births. Conclusion: There is a relationship effect of supplementation in pregnant women on low birth weight babies in BPS K, Bogor. This is evidenced by the results of P - value is 0.021, which means the value of P - value less than α 0.05.
Vocabulary is an important one of the language components that should be learnt by students, so they can master the English well. This research is conducted to know the student vocabulary improving after taught using crossword puzzles. The research used pre-experimental design which is need an experimental class. The sample of this research is the first grade of SMAN 5 Makassar which consist of 20 students. In collecting the data, the researcher used vocabulary test that has administered in pretest and posttest. The result showed that the mean score in posttest was 76.75 that is higher than the mean score in pre-test was 55.5. The score of t-test was 0.02 was smaller than α (0.05). It can be said that using puzzles can improve the students’ vocabulary mastery.
According to UNICEF in 2011,dataofthe high number ofgrowth and development disorderinchildren under fivewas obtained,especially motor development disorder where (27.5%) or 3 million children had disorder. This research aims to determine theCorrelation ofNutritional StatusandGross Motor Developmentin 2-3 Year OldChildren atMaternal and Child Health Servicein Situ UdikCommunity Health Center Working Area. This is an analytic researchwith cross-sectional research design. This research was conducted atMaternal and Child Health Service atSitu UdikCommunity Health CenterinOctober 2017-October 2018 with total sample of 114 2-3 year oldchildrenby implementingSlovin formula for the sampling. The instruments used weredemographic questionnaire, DDST IIobservation sheet, and weight scale that had been provided. Furthermore,univariate and bivariate analysis were applied in analyzing the data. Based on nutritional status,children who hadmalnutrition were 22 children (29.7%) with normal motor development, 43 children (58.1%) were suspected abnormal motor development, and 9 children (12.2%) who could not be tested. Children who hadgood nutrition were 21 children (56.8%) with normal gross motor development, 10 children (27.0%) were suspected, and 6 children (16.2%) who could not be tested. Children who hadovernutrition were 2 children (66.7%) with normal gross motor development, 1 (33.3%) child were suspected abnormal motor development. In addition, the statistical test value = 0.026 obtained meaning thatnutritional status has significant correlation withgross motor development in 2-3 year oldchildren atMaternal and Child Health Service in Situ Udik Community Health Center Working Area.
The purpose of this reseach to know how the students competence on their reading comprehension especially their ability in getting detailed information in expository text. The population of this research is 10 students of class X Akutansi SMK Modellink Makbusun. The research used descriptive analysis design. The instrument of this research was the reading test which focused on detail information in expository text. The result of students competence in getting detail information in expository text was 60% or 6 students got score among 70-100 and it was catagorized into good score. The other students or 2 students got in catagorized at “poor” catagory. The average of score students was 71.6. The competence of students in getting information in expository text was catagorized into “good” category.
