Perkembangan dunia Teknologi Informasi saat ini sudah berlari sedemikian cepatnya. Banyak alternatif-alternatif baru tercipta di era disruptive ini, dimana siapapun yang tidak bergerak dengan cepat terhadap perubahan teknologi maka dia akan tertinggal. Begitu juga dalam hal teknologi pembelajaran di sekolah-sekolah saat ini, teknik yang digunakan semakin beragam dan tekno oriented yang dikenal dengan istilah E-Learning. Beberapa teknologi pembelajaran yang terkait e-learning juga mulai dikembangkan untuk memaksimalkan pembelajaran yang mengalami keterbatasan waktu dalam penyampaian materi, dan kebosanan dalam belajar di berbagai lembaga pendidikan yang belum terjamah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development or Production, Implementation, and Evaluation). Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa kelas XI SMA Unggul Sakti Jambi. Ketepatan dalam memilih model pengembangan akan menghasilkan produk yang tepat yang dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif yang signifikan dengan penggunaan media e-learning berbasis Google Classroom dapat menghasilkan pembelajaran yang lebih efektif. Hasil uji coba lapangan memperoleh hasil sebesar 93,33% siswa mencapai nilai ketuntasan belajar minimal (KBM). Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar pada kelompok besar dengan rata-rata meningkat sebesar 29,84% dari kelas yang tidak menggunakan media pembelajaran Google Classroom (kelas konvesional) sebesar 63 dan kelas yang menggunakan media pembelajaran Google Classroom 81,8 menggunakan skala nilai 100. Media Pembelajaran ini juga dapat melaksanakan kegiatan belajar mengajar secara virtual (di luar jam efektif sekolah). Tidak hanya dapat digunakan untuk memberikan bahan ajar kepada siswa, media e-learning berbasis Google Classroom juga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk kegiatan diskusi kelas dan penilaian belajar siswa dengan waktu yang lebih efisien.
