Introdução: A COVID-19 é uma enfermidade que tem como principal característica a alta taxa de transmissibilidade, além de sintomas que podem evoluir para alterações respiratórias graves e o comprometimento funcional em um curto período. Dessa forma, estudos mostram que indivíduos podem apresentar uma redução significativa na qualidade cardiorrespiratória, redução da força muscular e qualidade de vida reduzida após o período da infecção pelo novo Coronavírus. Neste cenário, a fisioterapia se tornou destaque na linha de frente à COVID-19, pois o fisioterapeuta atua em todos os estágios da doença, desempenhando um papel essencial na prevenção e tratamento de complicações pulmonares, além de utilizar recursos que melhoram as funções cognitivas e funcionais de cada indivíduo de maneira individual. Objetivo: Realizar uma revisão da literatura com base em evidências a cerca da eficácia da intervenção fisioterapêutica na reabilitação pulmonar em pacientes com COVID-19. Metodologia: Foram utilizadas as bases de dados: Scielo, PubMed, MedLine, Science Direct e Lilacs e assim, encontrados 10 artigos para compor a revisão, usando seguintes critérios de inclusão: estudos relacionados a COVID-19 e com relatos de intervenção fisioterapêutica, estudos nos idiomas inglês, português e espanhol, e como critérios de exclusão: artigos que não atendem aos critérios de inclusão e antecedentes a 2020. Resultados: A partir dos descritores utilizados foram encontrados um total de 19 artigos e destes, selecionados 10 artigos referentes à temática, incluídos neles estudos estrangeiros e em português e 9 artigos foram excluídos por não atenderem os critérios de elegibilidade. Conclusão: O tratamento fisioterapêutico nos casos de reabilitação pulmonar em pacientes com COVID-19 se tornou imprescindível, minimizando os efeitos causados pela infecção, melhorando as funções cognitivas e motoras, devolvendo a qualidade de vida para aqueles pacientes gravemente acometidos pelo vírus.
