Science student’s book should be in accordance with 21st century learning with assessments that are relevant to the characteristics of the learning. Where in the 21st century learning that is demanded are critical thinking skills and problem solving, creative and innovative skills, communication skills and collaborative skills. Where the four skills will aim to develop the potential in developing character, talent, competency, interest and literacy. To make use of this science student’s book, then need to be validated. The purpose of the validation is to know the validation science student’s books with the theme of energy in life based integrated local materials using integrated models for 21st century learning to use Aiken’s V with 5 validator is three experts and two practitioners composed. The questionnaire used the data of collection method. The result by 3 experts composed of content validation, construct validation, validation and then the graphical language with a valid validation category. While practitioners composed from same 2 with 3 experts composed is content validation, construct validation, validation and then the graphical language with a valid validation category. Conclusion, overall the science student’s books with the theme of energy in life based integrated local materials using integrated models for 21st century learning Be avowed valid and it can to be use in school.
This study was aim to produce a valid instrument that can measure the quality of the context-based video of the sound. Instruments that had been developed include: physics learning expert validation instrument, physicist validation instruments, linguist validation instruments, teacher practicality instruments, student practicality instruments, critical thinking skills instruments, creative thinking skills instruments, collaboration skills instruments, and communication skills instruments both oral and writing. This research uses the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages. Data analysis for validity refers to the Aiken’s V coefficient where the instrument is valid if it is validity coefficient ≥ 0.6. The validation coefficient given by the expert for each instrument is as follows: the learning physics instrument 0.90, the physicist validation instrument was 0.91, the linguist validation instrument was 0.77, the teacher practicality instrument was 0.97, the student practicality instrument was 0, 87, instruments of critical thinking skills of 0.91, instruments of creative thinking skills of 0.93, instruments of collaboration skills of 0.99, instruments of oral communication skills of 0.98, and instruments of written communication skills of 0.90. All of instruments are valid, so the instrument can be used to measure the quality of the instructional video of sound.
Learning in the 21st century should be connected to real world contexts. CTL strategy is one way to develop student skills. This is because learning process with a CTL strategy presents learning material that is related to the environment around students, in this way it can foster and improve students environmental literacy. In learning process, CTL strategy and environmental literacy can be integrated into learning material. However, the conditions found in the application of CTL strategy and environmental literacy in schools were still lacking. The solution to this problem is to use mechanical wave learning material integrated with CTL strategy for the environmental literacy of grade XI students. This research was a quasi-experimental research with a before and after design for related sample groups. The research instrument consisted of a knowledge aspect learning outcome test and student environmental literacy assessment sheets. The research data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the two means comparison test for related groups. The result of the data analysis is the use of mechanical wave learning material integrated with CTL strategy has a positive effect on the knowledge aspect and environmental literacy of grade XI students.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
