We demonstrate 4×35 Gbps error-free WDM data routing in a lossless compact 8×8 InP optical space switch with 2 dB worst-case penalty. 10 dB IPDR within 1.5 dB power penalty is measured at 12.5 Gbps.
We analyze the design of O-band SOA-based switch architectures in the IMOS platform. Emulated 16×16 switches, designed with different architectures, show a worst-case 3dB penalty for the case of 7 cascaded SOAs with 4-channel WDM@25Gbps.
Photonic WDM switches and photonic integrated WSS are designed as building blocks to realize novel modular metro node architectures. Advances in compact photonic integrated InP switches using the InP generic technology will be discussed.
We report the design of a polarization-insensitive SOA in IMOS-platform with worst-case polarization sensitivity of 0.8 dB over 60 nm bandwidth and 26 dB input power range. 500 μm-long SOA provides 21 dB peak gain.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
