Este artigo tem por objetivo apresentar as possibilidades de contribuição da psicologia ambiental para promoção de saúde de pessoas em situação de rua, a partir do conceito ampliado de saúde e de território. Foi elaborado após a experiência de campo, que contou com a participação de 13 pessoas em situação de rua. A pesquisa teve abordagem qualitativa e suas etapas envolveram aplicação de questionário sociodemográfico, caminhadas pelo espaço urbano e entrevistas com participantes. A análise foi conduzida a partir da teoria fundamentada nos dados. A discussão dos resultados demonstra a capacidade que a psicologia ambiental tem para dar consistência e aprofundar soluções para as fragilidades da relação entre pessoas em situação de rua e o ambiente da cidade.
A ação de extensão teve como objetivo incentivar o uso de espaços verdes de lazer por pais e crianças como estratégia para a promoção de saúde e bem-estar. Para isso, o projeto atuou em duas frentes: realização de oficinas no Parque Ecológico Municipal Professor David Ferreira Lima (Florianópolis), e difusão de informação por canais de internet. As atividades foram realizadas entre abril de 2016 e março de 2017 e envolveram 80 participantes nas atividades práticas, sendo 41 crianças; e atingiu 5.648 pessoas através dos conteúdos publicados em uma rede social e na página do Laboratório de Psicologia Ambiental da UFSC. Considera-se que o projeto alcançou os objetivos de sensibilização e disseminação da temática relativa aos benefícios da natureza para o desenvolvimento humano, a interação entre as pessoas e a conexão com a natureza.
