When bullying happens in early childhood education, educator plays essential role to recognise, identify, and prevent it. The present study aims to elaborate the important of educator role in preventing bullying that may occur in early childhood education. The present study uses literature review in order to gain information that are related to bullying in early childhood education. moreover, the present study also conducts interview with various educators to gain valid data regarding this behaviour. The present study shows that educators recognise violent acts that are conducted by their student but unfortunately they are not able to identify whether those actions can be determined as bullying toward early childhood children. Moreover, this violent action is a stimulus which can lead a children in conducting juvenile delinquency in the near future for the actor. Therefore, early childhood educator holds essential role in preventing bullying acts for early childhood children in order to prevent this behaviour becomes a habit.
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of self-esteem with celebrity worship on members of social network Bollywood Mania Club Indonesia (BMCI). Use of the Internet results in such groups transcending national and geographical boundaries communities. Hence sustained celebrity worship within outside microcommunities might not be as prevalent in the next generation of middle-aged consumers. Population and sample in this study are members of BMCI in Jakarta, which amounted to 250 people. The sampling technique used in this study is the probability sampling. This research is a correlational-quantitative with Pearson product moment correlation test. Results showed there are relationships between self-esteem with celebrity worship in BMCI members in Jakarta, where the significance value of 0.000 (p> 0.05). This means that self-esteem affects celebrity worship BMCI members of Bollywood. The relationship is in a negative direction. When members of BMCI has high self-esteem, they will be able to control their emotions, able to evaluate so they would be able to love their idol naturally or it can be said that these individuals are experiencing low celebrity worship. Moreover, when members of BMCI has low self-esteem, when they experience problems, they were less able to control their emotions, he less able to evaluate the situation or problems on themselves, so it tend to seek comfort outside the family by loving their idol excessive or unreasonable, in other words, the individual is experiencing a high celebrity worship.
Mathematics is one of the subjects that aims to solve abstract problems that are changed to everyday problems. Based on the results of observations and interviews with mathematics teachers at SMP Negeri 4 Muncar, information was obtained that students' mathematical representation abilities were low, this was because teachers never connected mathematics material with everyday life. So the perception that mathematics is a difficult and scary subject takes root in students. Mathematical representation abilities can be developed using a learning model based on problem solving. Therefore, in this study, researchers used the Creative Problem Solving model as an effort to improve students' representational abilities. This research uses quantitative research, with a quasi-experimental design. The population in this study were all students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 4 Muncar, while the sample of this study was students of class VIII A and VIII D. The sample selection in this study was carried out using students' end-of-semester test scores, then tested for normality and homogeneity. Meanwhile, to determine the experimental class and control class, the researcher used random sampling technique. This study aims to measure the effect of the Creative Problem Solving model on students' representational abilities and to determine the differences in student learning outcomes on the representation of function material using the Creative Problem Solving model. Based on the hypothesis test, the value of sig. (2 tailed) < 0.000 <0.05 can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the Creative Problem Solving model and the representation ability of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Muncar.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
