Iintrodução: Em Março de 2020, a Organização Mundial de Saúde anunciou a pandemia da COVID-19, uma doença respiratória causada pelo vírus SARS-CoV-2, responsável por impactos significativos nos sistemas de saúde. Neste período farmácias comunitárias foram os primeiros pontos de acesso para alguns pacientes, tornando a assistência farmacêutica neste local indispensável. Objetivo: Avaliar a importância e os benefícios da assistência farmacêutica em farmácias comunitárias da cidade de Belém/PA durante a pandemia. Métodos: Tratou-se de um estudo transversal, quantitativo e qualitativo, através de aplicação de formulário eletrônico, para pacientes e farmacêuticos de farmácias comunitárias da cidade no período dezembro de 2021. Resultados: Foram utilizados após análise de dados, 67 questionários da população e 47 de farmacêuticos. Observou-se que vários participantes obtiveram o diagnóstico através dos sintomas da doença, sendo os mais determinantes: febre (54%) e perda de olfato e paladar (50%). Destaca-se as orientações farmacêutica (40,3%), atrás apenas da orientação médica (44,8%), estas ditas como satisfatórias (63,7%), e seguidas (62,7%). Evidenciando o uso de paracetamol e vitamina C (26,9%), como medicamentos insetos de prescrição mais utilizados neste período, seguidos da azitromicina (55%), ivermectina (48,9%) e o kit-covid (40,4%). Conclusão: Perante ao enfrentamento emergencial na saúde pública, a assistência farmacêutica está sendo primordial, firmando o farmacêutico como o profissional promotor da Saúde junto a uma equipe multiprofissional, sendo necessário seu constante aprimoramento, través de cursos ou palestras para que esse serviço à comunidade possa continuar sendo desenvolvido com êxito.
