The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the company's Liquidity, Profitability, Size Ratio on Capital Structure and its implications on the value of the company in Manufacturing companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The study population was 8 manufacturing companies in LQ45 registered in the Jakarta Islamic Index ( JII). Determination of the sample using non probability sampling technique that is purposive sampling obtained as many as 5 companies registered in the period 2012-2016. The analytical method used is path analysis with the trimming model. The results showed that current ratio (CR) has a direct effect on debt to equaty ratio (DER), return on asset (ROA) has a direct effect on debt to equaty ratio (DER), Size does not affect debt to equaty ratio (DER), current ratio (CR) does not directly affect earning per share, return on asset (ROA) directly affects earning per share (EPS), debt to equaty ratio (DER) direct effect on earning per share (EPS), current ratio (CR) indirect effect on earning per share (EPS) through debt to equaty ratio (DER) and return on asset (ROA) indirect effect on earning per share (EPS) through debt to equaty ratio (DER).
Teaching and learning mathematics have predisposition to be conducted mechanically. Teacher prefers to teach algorithm directly, give examples, and then ask the students to finish the tasks similar to those illustrated by the teacher. The students solve a mathematical problem by memorizing without understanding. As a result, the students only master the simple mathematics concepts, but very weak in communication mathematics. This condition can be solved by implementing Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach. In the RME approach, there is no special teaching methods required, but from a risen variety of characteristics. This research concludes the learning approach Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) loaded with math activities (doing mathematics), investigation, discussion, and reflection. The research’s subject was 25 students at grade 6 SD Negeri 1 Kecamatan Bunga Raya Kabupaten Siak Riau, Indonesia. Data were collected through observations, interviews, checklist, and analyzing the students’ works .Learning Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) is not a teacher explaining, giving examples, and then the students imitate the example of the teacher, but requiring students to work in groups, investigate, experiment, discuss and share. Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach contributes not only to the cognitive development of students but also the affective and psychomotor of students.
Towards the 21st century, technological and social change has developed rapidly. Educational practices must develop as well over time. The role and function of mathematics becomes an inevitable need. In order to meet the needs in adapting to these changes, problem solving is one of the mandatory skills that must be mastered by students. Problem solving skills are influenced by several factors, including learning models and student abilities. Therefore, this article aims at investigating whether a difference in mathematical problem solving skills emerges between the students involved in the learning group investigation learning model and those in the direct learning model, according to the high, medium, and low initial skills of 8th grade students of a junior high school (SMP) in Pekanbaru. The quasi-experimental method was used in the study. Based on the t-test analysis, the use of group investigation learning model in terms of initial skills, in general, influences the students’ mathematical problem solving skills.
Electroplating is utilized to protect metals from environmental influences. This study aims to determine the effect of solution composition and electric current on coating thickness and to observe morphology with nickel plating. The electrical currents were set in 0.5A, 1A, and 1.5A. Meanwhile, the electrolyte solutions consist of NiSO4, NiCl2, H3BO3, H2O, and were added in different compositions. In this research, several characterizations were conducted to measure the thickness of the coated layer using a micrometer. SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy) was used to observe the surface morphology. The thickness test is shown that the higher current obtained the thicker coating layer. Moreover, the higher compositions of electrolyte solutions affect more coating layer on the base metal surface. The rough surface was depicted on metal coated in low current. New iron-nickel and iron-nickel-oxide was detected by X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD) as Fe0.64Ni0.36 and NiFe2O4.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
