Por meio de trabalhos já realizados, conhecemos as concepções alternativas acerca do movimento que frequentemente são encontradas nos estudantes em vários níveis do ensino. Porém, como podemos aprofundar essa visão no aluno? Existem várias metodologias, recursos didáticos e teorias que podem auxiliar nessa questão. Dessa forma, buscamos unir uma abordagem histórica de alguns episódios do desenvolvimento da ciência, com as potencialidades de uma postura anarquista epistemológica por parte do professor. Para tanto, nos baseamos nas ideias de Paul K. Feyerabend. Portanto, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo uma revisão teórica como reflexão voltada para o conteúdo do princípio de inércia.
Diante de uma complexa conceituação da dinâmica elementar estabelecida pelo paradigma newtoniano, este trabalho, de cunho colaborativo, objetiva o apresentar e discutir do pensamento cartesiano e newtoniano acerca do conceito de força e do movimento, bem como sua fundamentação teológica a fim de contribuir com o Ensino de Física por meio do resgate de aspectos históricos e epistemológicos. Para esta finalidade, utiliza-se da metodologia documental, com vistas a consulta de fontes primárias, com acréscimos de comentadores como fontes secundárias. O presente trabalho deriva-se de duas pesquisas, sendo uma de mestrado e outra de doutorado que versam respectivamente sobre o princípio de inércia e o conceito de força.Palavras Chave: Ensino de Física.
