possui uma enorme gama de produções artístico-culturais, muitas delas realizadas de forma autônoma por pessoas de sua comunidade acadêmica, de todos os segmentos-docentes, estudantes, técnico-administrativos e pesquisadores. O site Guia Cultural Unicamp, oferece dados para o entendimento dessa dimensão. Muitos desses projetos são realizados sem qualquer tipo de suporte institucional, ou buscam esse apoio fazendo solicitações pontuais em diferentes instâncias da Universidade. Com este projeto criou-se um fluxo de procedimentos para essa demanda, amplificando seu alcance e estabelecendo regras claras, que permitiram o acesso qualificado e igualitário para toda a comunidade universitária ao suporte logístico e financeiro disponibilizado.
Acompanhando de perto essa discussão a respeito da segurança nos câmpus da Unicamp, a Coordenadoria de Desenvolvimento Cultural (CDC), propôs à Reitoria o projeto “Conexão Cultural” que, aprovado, foi incorporado ao programa “Campus Tranquilo, Universidade Viva” da Unicamp, no eixo denominado “Convívio”. O “Conexão Cultural” foi estabelecido, visando à ocupação dos espaços externos dos campi da Universidade com eventos culturais e esportivos, promovendo a circulação e a permanência das pessoas e, consequentemente, o convívio, permitindo ampliar a sensação de segurança, tanto pela própria frequência, como pelo fato de que as pessoas, ao se encontrarem, poderem conhecer-se umas às outras, especialmente aquelas que fazem parte da comunidade universitária. A estratégia de trabalho é a de fomentar a produção cultural – em artes e em esportes – da Universidade, para que se realize por meio de apresentações abertas à comunidade em geral. A participação de alunos, funcionários e docentes, na produção ou na realização do evento, é de fundamental importância. Também foi estabelecida uma linha de fomento à produção cultural de outras unidades e órgãos da Universidade, visando prestar apoio às manifestações culturais realizadas por eles (em infraestrutura, logística e divulgação), desde que realizadas preferencialmente em espaços abertos dos campi; portanto, em consonância com os objetivos do projeto.
Visando a criação de um programa coeso voltado à cultura e à arte para uma universidade do porte e da excelência da Unicamp, em 2013 a Coordenadoria de Desenvolvimento Cultural (CDC) implementou sua área de Ação Cultural, para buscar a articulação entre órgãos, unidades, artistas e coletivos, tanto da Unicamp quanto externos no sentido de fomentar as ações artísticas e culturais desenvolvidas, alavancando sua produção e sua gestão; ampliar sua visibilidade e, consequentemente, incrementar as possibilidades para a área da Cultura na Universidade, criando condições para implantação de uma política específica para o desenvolvimento de projetos artísticos e culturais. Uma das primeiras ações realizadas foi a implantação, em março de 2014, do “Guia Cultural Unicamp”, por meio do site www.guiacultural.unicamp.br, contendo textos e chamadas de interesse e a agenda dos eventos que contam com a participação, direta ou indireta, de membros da comunidade da Universidade, sejam eles realizados na Unicamp ou fora dela. O objetivo principal foi congregar, numa agenda única, os eventos e as produções artístico-culturais vinculadas à Unicamp, permitindo assim seu maior alcance e visibilidade. Foram 719 publicações de março a dezembro de 2014, em 2015 foram 1.024 publicações, e em 2016, espera-se superar este número, vez que a ferramenta está se tornando cada vez mais conhecida pelo público da comunidade universitária e de seu entorno. A dinâmica do site é acompanhada por uma fan page do Facebook – GuiaCulturalUnicamp –, que atualmente conta com aproximadamente 4.600 seguidores, número que tem sido crescente.
