ResumenEl objetivo de esta investigación proporciona un análisis descriptivo del desempeño ortográfico de niños chilenos pertenecientes a escuelas municipales de bajo nivel socioeconómico. Se consideraron problemas ortográficos recurrentes en un corpus de 250 textos narrativos de alumnos de 3°, 5° y 7° básico, escritos a partir de un estímulo en que se les pidió que continuaran una historia. Estos problemas fueron: carencia de tildes, uso erróneo de grafías (b/v; s/c/z; h), hiposegmentación y omisión o cambio de sílabas y/o letras. Para el análisis, se definieron categorías que describen las ocurrencias de tales problemas, elaboradas a partir de la norma lingüística y del fenómeno de la simplificación fonológica. Se realizaron análisis de frecuencia y se construyó un índice de error relacionado con la cantidad de palabras escritas. Al observar el desempeño de los estudiantes, se obtuvo como resultado que los errores ortográficos se concentran en un 17% de las palabras escritas. Estos se presentan, frecuentemente, en palabras de uso habitual, por ejemplo, en verbos como 'haber', 'hacer' y 'estar' y sus conjugaciones. Los problemas más recurrentes en los tres cursos fueron la carencia de tildes, mayormente en palabras agudas, y el uso erróneo de grafías. Este estudio pretendió identificar la presencia de anticuerpos contra Leptospira spp en felinos y humanos convivientes del barrio Nueva Villa de La Iguaná, de la Comuna 7 de Medellín, Colombia, entre noviembre y diciembre de 2018. Datos históricos de la zona indican una seroprevalencia de 63.2% en humanos. Mediante un estudio transversal en el barrio, se seleccionaron 30 hogares donde convivían 30 personas y 32 felinos. Se les aplicó una encuesta y se tomaron muestras de sangre para detectar anticuerpos contra Leptospira spp mediante la prueba de microaglutinación (MAT). Los resultados de serorreacción contra Leptospira spp en felinos y humanos fueron negativos a leptospirosis, lo que sugiere que los felinos del barrio tienen un rol protector contra la Leptospira spp en sus dueños.
Chile ha diversificado su población migrante a partir de la llegada de personas de América Latina y, a pesar de no ser estadísticamente significativo, esto ha generado una proliferación de imaginarios sociales negativos, afianzados institucionalmente a través de enfoques restrictivos hacia colectivos extranjeros. El racismo institucional se plasma en políticas, discursos y prácticas, ubicando en posiciones de desigualdades a algunos grupos migrantes. A través de una investigación cualitativa llevada a cabo en la XI región de Aysén (Chile), y por medio de un análisis interseccional, presentamos las maneras en que se articulan desigualdades como la procedencia nacional, la clase y el género, en la atención en salud pública. Los resultados muestran la existencia de prácticas racistas institucionales e imaginarios de “otredad” que les subyacen; las formas en que opera un racismo institucional a partir de discriminaciones explícitas; y las agencias y resistencias llevadas a cabo por personas racializadas.
