El espacio interactivo es una espacialidad históricamente original que da respuesta a las aspiraciones estéticas actuales. Desde la posmodernidad, se considera que nos situamos en una etapa cultural donde resulta imposible diferenciar la realidad de lo simulado. Una nueva realidad espacial de la sociedad globalizada, de tal dimensión y complejidad que es inasimilable por el individuo. Frente a esto, el espacio interactivo que proponen Adrien M & Claire B parece dar salida a la incertidumbre que rige este momento. La interacción se muestra una aspiración estética contemporánea autónoma, suficiente y válida. Un espacio que apuesta desprejuiciadamente por la simulación y que sí puede ser plenamente percibido, creado y utilizado por el individuo. Esta investigación, a través del análisis de Adrien M & Claire B, va a profundizar en las estrategias de proyecto y la estética del espacio interactivo. Esta compañía propone instalaciones artísticas y escenográficas digitales que se adaptan en tiempo real a los gestos del cuerpo, siempre próximos a la danza. Proponen un verdadero diálogo entre el cuerpo, las proyecciones digitales y el espacio. La estrategia proyectual de Adrien M & Claire B primero aísla al público de su realidad cotidiana. Crean una nueva realidad espacial que, en la mayoría de casos, niega todo vínculo con la arquitectura que les acoge y con el exterior. Después dota al nuevo espacio de unas leyes visuales que le dan una lógica interna. La interacción se realizará a través de un lenguaje visual que mezcla los gestos, la danza y lo digital. Un espacio del cuerpo.
La relevancia del museo como agente de los cambios sociales, culturales y urbanos en la ciudad europea no ha hecho más que incrementarse durante las últimas décadas. Frente al museo tradicional, algunos de los nuevos centros han afrontado las demandas promovidas por artistas, arquitectos, comisarios y público manifestando los cambios en los procesos de creación, difusión y recepción del arte. El objetivo del artículo es abordar estos cambios mediante el análisis de tres casos paradigmáticos en la última década en Europa: Palais de Tokyo en París, Fondazione Prada en Milán, y más recientemente KANAL-Centre Pompidou en Bruselas. En los tres casos se añade la reconversión de un patrimonio industrial previo en emergentes centros para la cultura contemporánea ejemplificado un interés por actualizar la infraestructura de la modernidad. También la importancia de la institución cultural como impulsora del proyecto urbano en la ciudad europea y como inversión de lo público en el marco de la globalización actual.
El espacio de la cultura y el arte se ha convertido en arquetipo privilegiado de la actividad global de nuestras sociedades en los países industrializados, en espacio de confluencia entre fuerzas políticas y sociales, económicas y tecnológicas, o estratégicas y mediáticas. En el ámbito europeo, en las últimas décadas, ha destacado la tendencia por reconvertir el patrimonio industrial de numerosas ciudades mediante espacios destinados precisamente a la cultura, emergiendo nuevas situaciones en las que late el estado anterior al cambio, herencia de la modernidad. El artículo clasifica y analiza una serie de estrategias mediante proyectos paradigmáticos que responden al actual estado de la cultura en la sociedad global, así como a la oposición entre el ideal moderno de “especificidad” y el contemporáneo de “hibridación”. Desde la lógica de hibridación, estos espacios culturales también abren nuevos horizontes para repensar una relación más activa entre arquitectura, arte y observador.
Este artículo propone la elaboración y análisis de un modelo 3D y unas plantas detalladas de la estructura de la Villa Savoye, algo hasta ahora no abordado monográficamente. Se basa en mediciones in situ y documentos originales de la Fundación Le Corbusier, como planos del contratista, precios contradictorios, fotos de la construcción y unas filmaciones amateurs. Un conjunto de fuentes así, hace de esta obra un caso privilegiado para conocer cómo se empleaba el hormigón armado en aquella época de su generalización. Se comprueba la ambigüedad estructural de Le Corbusier, que pone «la expresión de las formas plásticas», por encima del cálculo racional o la mera manifestación del esqueleto portante. Para ello manipula el sistema arquitrabado clasicista de Perret. Al retranquear las vigas descolgadas y los pilares, el esquema no se aprecia como una «jaula», sino como una tabla apoyada en «caballetes», o unas baldas «pinchadas» en finas patas.
