Em 2020, frente ao isolamento social causado pela pandemia de Covid-19, o ensino remoto foi a possibilidade de continuidade da educação. Diante desse fato, foi desenvolvido este artigo, que teve o objetivo de compreender, a partir da teoria dos paradigmas do ensino e da aprendizagem de Masetto (2005), qual o paradigma predominante no ensino remoto em duas turmas de pós-graduação stricto sensu em Educação na UPF. A metodologia mesclou as abordagens qualitativa e quantitativa, por meio da entrega de questionários. Concluiu-se que a maioria dos alunos considerou que desenvolveu conhecimentos úteis para a vida profissional. Como aspectos negativos dessa modalidade, os respondentes dos questionários destacaram o cansaço frente às telas de computador e também a falta de contato com os colegas.
Apontada como meta do Plano Nacional de Educação (Lei nº 13.005 de 2014), a formação de professores(as) em nível superior demanda o fortalecimento e a expansão dos Cursos Superiores de Licenciatura. Diante disso essa pesquisa teve como objetivo principal investigar dados quantitativos sobre a formação de professores(as) nos 5 campi da Universidade Federal da Fronteira Sul que oferecem cursos de licenciatura. Como metodologia foram utilizadas as abordagens quantitativa e qualitativa, tendo como instrumentos de análise referenciais bibliográficos e documentais (Lista de Estudantes e Ingressantes na Graduação, e os Projetos Pedagógicos dos Cursos Superiores de Licenciatura). Os resultados deste estudo mostraram que a UFFS já formou 1482 (mil quatrocentos e oitenta e dois) licenciados(as) desde o início de suas atividades (2010 a 2018/2º semestre). Os números obtidos nesta pesquisa também sinalizaram uma possível crise nas licenciaturas, devido ao alto índice de evasão.
