The work of a dentist is based on professional knowledge and human relationship with a patient. However, besides ethical principles, a dentist must also follow deontological principles and legal rules. The aim of this paper was to point out the importance of the dentist?s deontological aspect, clearly present the importance of the dental mistake and problems of unconscious treatment and to highlight the consequences that a dentist may experience in the event of the negligence of professional duties and responsibilities.
