• AAA volumetry by semiautomated segmentation is accurate on CT following endovascular repair. • AAA volumetry by semiautomated segmentation is accurate on unenhanced CT. • Standardization of the segmentation technique maximizes the reproducibility of volume measurements.
The study of joint advertising channels decision-making is a very difficult issue. It mainly focuses on ads investment game between a manufacturer and a retailer in a vertical supply chain. With the rise of the game theory, scholars have been starting to investigate this issue in the frame of game theory in recent years. The paper improves the existing models and introduces single-period and multi-period modified models. The paper obtains the closed-form solutions to the single-period model and the simulation results of the multi-period model. We also examine the implications of these results and obtain some insights into the real practice
Abstract. Given the increasing important of IT in the public services delivery and the massive amount of spending in IT in governments, it is imperative to understand how to evaluate the contributions of IT in governments for better delivery of services and enhanced interactions with citizens and business. From the perspective of Business Process Management and public value management, this paper takes a process level approach to productivity and IT effects of public service. This paper argues that IT, does not directly lead to greater service productivity, but they do so through intermediate organizational and interorganizational capabilities. The case study of home service illustrates IT's effects on the four key of organizational and interorganizational capabilities that are paramount to public service productivity, which includes operational capability, communication capability, partnering capability and innovative capability. IT resources in public organizations enable public managers to pursue greater service productivity by cultivating these four capabilities.
Considerable evidence from cultural psychology indicates that East Asians tend to reason holistically whereas Westerners tend to think analytically. We propose that this important difference in cognition can explain divergences in the perceived effectiveness of, and preference for controls between the two cultures. We experimentally test our predictions by studying American and Chinese employees’ perceptions of the Code of Conduct used by companies in both the U.S. and China. Overall, the results are consistent with our predictions and provide evidence of the role of cognition in influencing perceived control effectiveness. We contribute to efforts at a systematic understanding of cross-cultural differences in preferences for controls and add to research that is important for furthering theory building.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
