This study is about discoveries of the religious factor and its influence towards purchase intention of organic food in Malaysia. Each religion teaches its followers to consume healthy food in their daily lives. Organic food is commonly known for its healthier content without the use of pesticides, herbicides, inorganic fertilizers, antibiotics and growth hormones. To a certain extent organic food is directly related to Halal, a preconditioned to the Muslim to consume certain permitted foods and preparation, consistent with the Shariah requirements. However, not every consumer view such circumstances as important though being encouraged by their religion to consume such food in a way promoted by the organic foods. The research aims to identify the religious factor and its impact towards the customer purchase intention in Malaysia. The findings of the study indicated that religious factor was found to have less impact on customer purchase intention of organic food. This is because the consumers could be looking on other vast factors such as perceived value and health consciousness in deciding to purchase organic food products. They may perceive that the existing conventional foods are perfectly matched with organic food and the consumers are fully confident that the foods are prepared in a way permitted by their religion. The result has shown some differences with the previous literature which described that religious factor plays one of the most influential roles in shaping food choice in certain countries of the world. Hence, this study is expected to provide understanding to both the industry players as well as academicians on the factors that influence Malaysian customer purchase intention towards organic food products as such phenomena might be different from
Problem statement: The objectives of this study were to determine mean comparison all 6 dimensions between Cooperative Bank (CB) and Islamic Bank of Britain (IBB) in Leicestershire, United Kingdom, to compare the ranking for CB and IBB based on the customers preference and lastly to identify the similarities between CB and IBB based on customer preference. Approach: A sample of retail banking customers from CB and IBB was surveyed through a set of questionnaires. The proposed scale is called SERVQUAL and comprises 33 items named CARTER with six dimensions (Compliance, Assurance, Reliability, Tangible, Empathy and Responsiveness), which customized for suitability of CB and IBB. The data was analyzed based on SPSS. Results: The study indicated that the mean comparison for all 6 dimensions were compared and shown that the Compliance issues were very important for IBB customers, while the same cannot be mentioned for the CB customers, who gave more importance to Empathy and Responsiveness. On the other hand, the highest ranked between IBB and CB were found, where the customers of IBB chose No interest paid nor taken on saving and loan as a preferred items and CB customers more preferred to chose Run on ethical value as the highest rank. The results also demonstrated that the similarities were found where almost of the items in Assurance have a similar ranking in both of banks. Conclusion/Recommendations: Future research should be conducted with a big number of respondents to ensure the representative and conclusive finding. Next, the new research needs to increase a number of banks to obtain the good result
At university level, students are encouraged and expectant to create an entrepreneurial culture where they need to experience on how to operate the business inside the campus. This was also to aid the university in producing graduates who can help meet the government’s aspiration of turning Malaysia into a high-income country. Therefore, students are played a significant role as a novice entrepreneur in order to accomplish Vision of 2020. Generally, we have seen some of the research highlights the importance of entrepreneurship education, the effectiveness of entrepreneurship training and also seen the entrepreneurship has been taught in the class but unlikely, they do not fully utilized the given knowledge to practice it. The objectives of this paper is to identify the barriers faced by students for various departments to start-up the business at the IPTA’s in northern region that concise of three variables; personality traits, entrepreneurial skills and micro level. The target population of this study is all students in higher institutions in northern region including UiTM Kedah, UiTM Pulau Pinang, UiTM Perlis, UiTM Perak, USM, UNIMAP and UUM. The expected outcome is to expose a student on how to start-up the business and experiencing the challenges of entrepreneurial environment
This study is to propose a conceptual framework that can be used to measure the relationship between the operational and sociotechnical aspects of lean healthcare practices and sustainability among Malaysia's private hospitals. Specifically, it investigates the mediating role of operational performance and the moderating role of safety climate. This study first reviews the literature on lean healthcare practices comprising operational and sociotechnical practices. Then, taking into account the literature on operational performance, safety climate and sustainability, a conceptual framework is established. Research hypotheses were developed based on the proposed conceptual model and review.
