Objetivo: analisar o nível de qualidade de vida de idosas praticantes de dança. Método: trata-se de um estudo transversal com abordagem quantitativa com 47 idosas praticantes de dança. Para a coleta dos dados, foram utilizados os instrumentos WHOQOL-OLD e WHOQOL-BREF para avaliar a qualidade de vida. Os dados foram apresentados por meio da estatística descritiva (média, desvio padrão, frequências absoluta e relativa e tabelas). Resultados: as idosas apresentaram satisfatório nível de qualidade de vida em todos os domínios e facetas de qualidade de vida, sendo que o domínio físico (16,1 ± 2,0) e a faceta de Morte e Morrer (16,7 ± 3,2) apresentaram valores superiores. Conclusão: a prática regular de dança é um elemento importante para promover a saúde e a qualidade de vida na longevidade. Method: this is a cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach with 47 elderly women practicing dance. To collect the data, the WHOQOL-OLD and WHOQOL-BREF instruments were used to evaluate quality of life. Data were presented through descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, absolute and relative frequencies and tables). Results: the elderly presented a satisfactory level of quality of life in all domains and facets of quality of life. The physical domain (16.1 ± 2.0) and the Death and Dying facet (16.7 ± 3, 2) presented higher values. Conclusion: regular dance practice is an important element in promoting longevity health and quality of life.
