In a tertiary care hospital, the prevalence of unrecognised PAD among patients hospitalised for non-PAD-related causes is high and the preventive CVD therapy rates are low. Hospitalisation is a good opportunity to detect PAD.
Objective: improvement of the quality of prenatal diagnosis of brain tumors using different ray diagnostic
techniques.
Materials: the case of prenatal diagnosis of hemangioma of the cerebellum at 25 weeks of gestation with
ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging is presented. The diagnosis was verified by post-mortem examination.
Results: the publications about the prenatal diagnosis of hemangiomas and other brain tumors over the
past 30 years are presented.
Conclusion: representation of the features of the ultrasound and MRI picture of fetal brain tumors and the
timing of their manifestation allows to organise algorithm of prenatal diagnosis. The prognosis for the fetus in
the presence of brain tumors, regardless of the nature of the tumor, should be regarded as unfavourable.
Коннатальные кисты головного мозга встречаются у 1% новорожденных, формируются пренатально и имеют благоприятный прогноз. Эти кисты в основном диагностируются при проведении УЗИ; их необходимо дифференцировать с другими перивентрикулярными кистами, а именно субэпендимальными псевдокистами, перивентрикулярной лейкомаляцией, которые являются причиной неврологических расстройств. Для подтверждения данных пренатального УЗИ и дифференциальной диагностики перивентрикулярных кист используется МРТ. При пренатальной МРТ были выявлены коннатальные кисты у 10 плодов, при этом первоначальный диагноз был изменен в 4 случаях. Исследование указывает на важную роль МРТ в диагностике и дифференциации перивентрикулярных кист. Ключевые слова: Коннатальные кисты, МРТ, УЗИ.Conatal brain cysts that occur in 1% of newborns are formed prenatally and have a favorable prognosis. These cysts mostly diagnosed with ultrasound; they must be differentiated from other periventricular cysts, namely subependymal pseudocysts and periventricular leukomalacia, which cause neurological disorders. To confirm the prenatal ultrasound and differential diagnosis of periventricular cysts MRI is used. Conatal cysts were found in 10 fetuses using MRI, and the initial diagnosis was changed in 4 cases. Our research points to an important role of MRI in the diagnosis and differentiation of periventricular cysts.
