ABSTRAKFilm memiliki variasi yang cukup beragam. Keberagaman ini biasa dikenal dengan istilah genre. Variasi genre pada film tentunya memberi sensasi yang bervariasi pula terhadap penonton, salah satunya pada penonton tuna netra. "Bioskop Harewos", sebagai wadah menonton film bagi tuna netra memiliki model komunikasi yang unik, hal ini pula menjadi faktor keunikan pemahaman dalam menonton film berbagai genre karena film juga akan dibubuhi oleh deskripsi dari pembisik (Visual reader). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan tentang sistem/pola penentuan genre film yang dipilih pada setiap pemutaran di "Bioskop Harewos"; hambatan komunikasi pada setiap genre film yang diputar di "Bioskop Harewos"; dan pentingnya genre yang tepat bagi penonton film tuna netra di "Bioskop Harewos". Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Beberapa konsep yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berkaitan dengan film, tuna netra, dan efektivitas komunikasi. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa dalam penentuan genre film yang akan tayang pada sebuah pemutaran, pengelola "Bioskop Harewos" lebih mengutamakan moment atau tema yang diangkat pada pemutaran untuk menyesuaikan genre film yang dianggap paling cocok untuk diputar. Perizinan film dan pengalaman pernah atau belum pernah pada suatu genre film ditayangkan di "Bioskop Harewos" juga menjadi pertimbangan, namun bukanlah komponen utama sampingan. Penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan bahwa penonton tuna netra di "Bioskop Harewos" mengalami berbagai kendala atau hambatan komunikasi pada setiap genre film yang ditonton. Hambatan terbesar muncul dari film ber-genre thriller dan horror. Genre merupakan komponen yang cukup penting dalam keefektifan pemahaman penonton film tuna netra di "Bioskop Harewos". This becomes the factor of understanding in watching films because the given description of the prompter (visual reader). This study aims to reveal the system or pattern of determining the film's genre chosen at each screening at the "Bioskop Harewos"; communication barriers in every genre of films shown at "Bioskop Harewos"; and the importance of the right genre for visual impaired audiences at "Bioskop Harewos". This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Some of the concepts used in this study relate to film, the blind, and the effectiveness of communication. The results revealed the manager of the "Bioskop Harewos" preferred moments or themes raised at the screening in determining the genre of film that will be played. Film licensing and showing experience in a film genre shown are also a consideration, but it is not a major component. Bioskop Harewos as a special cinema for the audiences with visual impairments have a uniqueness. The uniqueness that replaces the role of Audio Description with individuals, known as Visual Reader. The Visual Reader is in charge of telling the visual scene of the movie being watched. The purpose of this research is to find out the obstacles experienced of the audiences with visual impairments when watching movies accompanied by the Visual Reader; knowing the barriers of Visual Reader in giving the visual description of the movie to the audiences with visual impairments; and learned about the Bioskop Harewos preparations for the Visual Reader and the audiences with visual impairments before the watching process took place. Research methods using qualitative case studies. The results of the research found that spectators of the audiences with visual impairments experienced have several obstacles when communicating with the Visual Reader in the process of watching movies at the Bioskop Harewos. The obstacles were assessed from various aspects, therefore visual message from the film was not obtained to the maximum. Visual Reader also has difficulties in narrating visual messages to the audiences with visual impairments.
Bioskop Harewos is a cinema that specialized in visually impaired film viewers in Bandung, Indonesia. The cinema runs with a traditional and distinct watching process. Some important concepts used in this research are related to communication competences; Visually impaired; and film. Using a qualitative method with constructivism paradigm and case study approach, this research tries to uncover several aspects, such as the communication capabilities of Visual Readers in Bioskop Harewos; the management effort of Bioskop Harewos in enhancing the communication effectiveness between Visual Readers and visually impaired viewers; also the competency of communication skills that required by Visual Readers. The result of this study revealed that the communication skills of Visual Readers in terms of being a prompter to visually impaired viewers were still under expectation. In terms of improving communication skills, the manager of the Bioskop Harewos has made several introductions and pre-viewing activities, yet the result is not as expected. This research also found three key competencies that are a necessity to be possessed by Visual Readers.
Bioskop Harewos is a cinema in the Bandung, West Java, intended for visually impaired audiences. This research focused on efforts to uncover the existence of Bioskop Harewos for the visually impaired and the model of watching films of visually impaired audiences in Bioskop Harewos. The research method was a qualitative case study using several theories and concepts for alternative media. This research collected various data from cinematographers, cinema managers, and Bioskop Harewos team and audiences through interviews. The results showed that Bioskop Harewos is an alternative media for visually impaired audiences in Bandung to watch films in cinemas. Even with the ‘Harewos’ system, the Bioskop Harewos had fulfilled the visually impaired audiences’ demands to watch films in the cinema. The technical limitations of Bioskop Harewos did not reduce the value of entertainment for visually impaired audiences.

The purpose of this study is to explore the cyber community beliefs regarding COVID-19 prevention vaccination through Ribka Tjiptaning's video statement on Instagram and Facebook posts. The research was conducted on Instagram and Facebook comments with a netnographic approach by relying on the selective process theory, the concept of conspiracy, and vaccine hesitancy. Two main themes were identified: pro comments, through statements that support the content on the video, and counter comments, through statements that reject the content on the video.
