Las mujeres migrantes, protagonistas en los flujos migratorios, se enfrentan desde el inicio de su desplazamiento a una doble marginación, que las acompaña por su condición de migrantes y por ser mujeres. Esto, sumado a la intersección dinámica de otros factores étnico-raciales, económico-sociales y de sexo-género, contribuye a su estigmatización que, además, se acentúa cuando se encuentran en contextos de violencia de género o prostitución. Tanto las personas que interpretan a estas mujeres, como los contextos en que lo hacen, están también atravesados por prejuicios que afectan la toma de decisiones durante el proceso de interpretación. El objetivo de este artículo es reflexionar acerca de la necesidad de revisar constantemente mitos y prejuicios, para poder deconstruirnos como intérpretes y ofrecer así un servicio de calidad que no dilate la posición vulnerable de las mujeres migrantes en contextos de violencia de género o prostitución. Nuestro análisis se aborda desde el contexto español, si bien muchas de las cuestiones analizadas podrían estar presentes en otros lugares de características similares. Mediante un enfoque multidisciplinar, que transita fuentes documentales que provienen de la traductología, de los estudios de género, de la antropología y de la sociología, y a partir de la investigación realizada por el proyecto “Speak Out for Support” (sos-vics), se abre un debate al que no se le ha dado la relevancia que le corresponde en la academia: la conveniencia de una interpretación feminista para lograr una comunicación equitativa.
Nunha investigación anterior1, propuxérame reflexionar sobre o que acontece cos prexuízos na interpretación social, en particular en contextos estigmatizados como as situacións de violencia de xénero e as situacións de prostitución. Para iso, valérame de fontes documentais que proviñan dos estudos da interpretación e do campo da psicoterapia, no que dera con algúns conceptos que me permitiran nomear certos procesos que, dende o meu punto de vista, se poñen en xogo no encontro entre as intérpretes e as persoas interpretadas. Ora ben, malia que non desboto a utilidade dese enfoque nun primeiro achegamento, o obxectivo desta proposta é moverse dese marco e suxerir a antropoloxía social como un campo do que botar man para analizar as experiencias da interpretación sen perder o eixe da estrutura social e da axencia das persoas interpretadas. A través do diálogo multidisciplinario con fontes documentais e con estudos da antropoloxía social, dos estudos da interpretación e da tradución e da socioloxía, propoño a reflexividade (Guber, 2001, 2004 [1991]) como unha categoría frutífera a partir da que pensar as interaccións na interpretación social, un labor antropolóxico.
