IMPORTANCE Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is a devastating stroke type that lacks effective treatments. An imaging biomarker of ICH expansion-the computed tomography (CT) angiography spot sign-may identify a subgroup that could benefit from hemostatic therapy.OBJECTIVE To investigate whether recombinant activated coagulation factor VII (rFVIIa) reduces hemorrhage expansion among patients with spot sign-positive ICH.
DESIGN, SETTING, AND PARTICIPANTSIn parallel investigator-initiated, multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled randomized clinical trials in Canada ("Spot Sign" Selection of Intracerebral Hemorrhage to Guide Hemostatic Therapy [SPOTLIGHT]) and the United States (The Spot Sign for Predicting and Treating ICH Growth Study [STOP-IT]) with harmonized protocols and a preplanned individual patient-level pooled analysis, patients presenting to the emergency department with an acute primary spontaneous ICH and a spot sign on CT angiography were recruited.

-PurposeThe objective of this paper is to analyse the creativity level of business administration undergraduates who have attended an entrepreneurship seminar in contrast to those that have not.
-Design/methodology/approachUsing two samples of Spanish students, the factors that condition the creation of new start-ups are analysed. A survey following the creativity items from the Kirton Adaption-Innovation Inventory was employed for a start-up seminar students and a control sample. Non-parametric tests were carried out on the responses.
-FindingsOur results show that students' entrepreneurial intentions are not conditioned by entrepreneurial courses, parental self-employment, or by their creativity level. However, there are differences in creativity level by genders for their future ability to start-up a company.
-Practical implicationsThere are no external constraints for not being an entrepreneur, who play a fundamental role in the future of a country and are a way to reduce current youth unemployment rates. Social and educational implications are also presented.
-Originality/valueThe use of the Kirton's Adaptation-Innovation (KAI) inventory as a proxy of creativity index is original in our research. Moreover, this study contributes to a better understanding of the factors to become an entrepreneur, through exposure to creativity, growing up around businesses and awareness of individual creativity index. Integration of university courses with entrepreneurship actions will be of interest to the society development.
Simple heuristics can be efficient ways of decision making and literature has shown that they are widely used in actual decision situations. Although many types of heuristics have been found and analyzed, there is only scarce research on factors that lead to the use of a particular heuristic. In the present paper, we describe an experiment to analyze whether the usage of a particular heuristic like recognition or take-the-best depends on individual decision making styles as identified by Scott and Bruce (Educ Psychol Meas 55(5):818-831, 1995). The experiment is based on a choice problem, in which different heuristics are likely to lead to different choices. Analyzing experimental data from two replications of the experiment in two different countries, we find some evidence that decision making styles influence the use of heuristics. However, considerable differences between the two experiments indicate that other, perhaps cultural, factors might also be important.
