O presente artigo proporciona um espaço para contar histórias de vida de mulheres que trabalham na catação de materiais recicláveis na Cooperativa de Reciclagem Santa Rita, localizada na cidade de Rio Grande/RS. Para isso, utilizamos como metodologia, pressupostos da história oral e entrevista aberta. Tendo como objetivo geral compreender como as mulheres que se ocupam da catação, na cooperativa de reciclagem Santa Rita, se reconhecem enquanto mulheres e como este reconhecimento está atrelado ao mundo do trabalho e educação. Mesmo que as mulheres sejam a maioria no espaço da catação, conforme dados encontrados ao longo da realização da pesquisa, há ainda uma resistência em reconhece-las enquanto liderança nesse espaço. Além disso, é possível observar, a partir das histórias de vida das mulheres, que todos os espaços nos educam e elas fazem o trabalho de educar-se entre si. O que concluímos a partir da pesquisa é a construção coletiva dessas mulheres do direito de ser mulher, compreendendo sua importância e lugar no mundo. Além disso, é possível encontrar em sua prática, conceitos importantes para o feminismo, como, por exemplo, a dororidade.
Este trabalho de cunho bibliográfico aproxima os estudos de Paulo Freire e Enrique Dussel para pensar a educação no horizonte da libertação, relacionando-a com a decolonialidade, desde o Brasil. Problematiza a ‘educação bancária’ e os processos de desumanização naturalizados no currículo. A práxis da dominação expressa no currículo e na formação de educadores/as traz muitos desafios como a padronização, a hierarquização, a precarização do trabalho docente, o individualismo nos processos de tomada de decisões pedagógicas. O artigo tem como objetivo promover reflexões sobre a necessidade de reorientar o currículo escolar, adotando uma perspectiva pedagógica política, justa e humanizadora na formação de educadores/as. Na intenção de superar os obstáculos, é preciso ter consciência crítica sobre as experiências coloniais e autoritárias, compreendendo que a educação libertadora e dialógica não se restringe ao currículo escolar ou a formação de professoras/es, também propõe uma formação humana mais crítica e democrática, em que os conhecimentos dialetizados e os saberes dos/as alunos/as sejam respeitados e contribuam na construção de uma sociedade mais autônoma e fraterna.
