Objective: To describe the creation and implementation of the extension program Advanced Practice Nursing in Pediatric Urology, developed in the outpatient clinic of a teaching hospital in the Federal District. Method: This is an experience report regarding the implementation of an outpatient service aimed at children and adolescents with symptoms of bladder and bowel dysfunction. Results: Because it is an extension program linked to the university, it follows a different model of care, valuing empowerment, informed and shared decision making, which results in a stronger bond between patients, family and the Pediatric Urology nursing team. It has also become a privileged space for the production and use of scientifi c knowledge, associated with the principles of evidence-based practice. Conclusion: This project shows a different performance of the nurse-specialist-professor-researcher in Pediatric Urology Nursing, and it has become a reference in the Federal District, mainly for undergraduate and graduate nursing students. Objetivo: compreender o impacto social da doença renal crônica em adolescentes submetidos à hemodiálise. Método: trata-se de estudo qualitativo, descritivo, com adolescentes dos 12 aos 18 anos, que realizavam hemodiálise na unidade hospitalar de Terapia Renal Substitutiva, por meio de entrevista semiestruturada. Analisaram-se os dados segundo o método de pesquisa de narrativas e figura. Resultados: identificaram-se três categorias temáticas: Modificações causadas pela hemodiálise que interferem na rotina; Sentimentos do adolescente associados à doença e à hemodiálise; Sentimentos da família associados à doença e à hemodiálise na perspectiva do adolescente. Conclusão: concluiu-se que o adolescente passa por modificações importantes em seu cotidiano, tanto pelas restrições necessárias para o controle da doença quanto pelas alterações fisiológicas. Revela-se, além disso, que sentimentos como tristeza e medo também permeiam o atendimento a este paciente. Data was analyzed according to the narrative and figure research method. Results: three thematic categories were identified: Modifications caused by hemodialysis that interfere in the routine; Adolescent feelings associated with the disease and hemodialysis; Family feelings associated with the disease and hemodialysis from the adolescent's perspective. Conclusion: it was concluded that the adolescent undergoes important changes in their daily life, both due to the restrictions necessary to control the disease and physiological changes. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa com o objetivo de identificar fatores associados à ocorrência de sintomas de trato urinário inferior em crianças no contexto escolar. A busca foi realizada em novembro de 2013, nas bases de dados: Medical Literature Analysis and Retrievel System Online, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature e Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde, sem emprego de limite temporal. A amostra foi composta por 12 artigos. A maioria dos estudos abordou medidas de prevalência segundo sexo, faixa etária e sintoma investigado. Também foram identificadas três categorias temáticas: fatores associados aos sintomas urinários, condições para uso do toalete na escola, e percepção de professores e enfermeiros escolares quanto a padrões de eliminação infantil. A literatura aponta a influência do contexto escolar no comportamento miccional da criança, sendo o enfermeiro escolar citado como um agente estratégico na promoção de hábitos miccionais saudáveis na infância.
RESUMOEstudo transversal realizado em oito escolas públicas e particulares do Riacho Fundo, (Distrito Federal),com escolares deseis a 12 anos, com o objetivo de avaliar a frequência de ida e permissão para uso do toalete na escola, sob a perspectiva do escolar, assim como mensurar a taxa de ocorrência e o impacto da experiência de ter tido alguma vez na vida um evento de perda urinária no contexto escolar. A coleta de dados incluiu entrevista por meio de perguntas-chave desenvolvidas pelas pesquisadoras. A análise dos dados incluiu técnicas básicas de análise exploratória de dados como,frequência absoluta e relativa, calculadas no programa Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. Das 86 crianças participantes da pesquisa, 73% (n=63) relataram irtodos os dias ao toalete escolar, ao passo que as que afirmam não utilizar o toalete apontaram como justificativas a falta de vontade, a falta de papel higiênico nos toaletes e a falta de privacidade ou problema com as portas. Quanto à permissão para o uso do toalete, 66% (n=57) afirmaram poder ir sempre que tivessem vontade. A experiência de perda urinária na escola foi relatada por17 (20%) crianças e apresentou impacto altamente negativo sob a perspectiva do escolar.Palavras-chave: Micção. Saúde escolar.Enfermagem pediátrica. INTRODUÇÃOO desenvolvimento infantil é um processo contínuo e progressivo que ocorre nos diversos contextos (sistemas) e em um determinado tempo (1) . Dentre os microssistemas que exercem influência sobre o desenvolvimento da criança, a escola é loccus direcionado para o desenvolvimento humano, tanto cognitivo, e social, quanto comportamental. Desta forma, o comportamento relacionado ao toalete e os hábitos miccionais são construídos também com a influência deste ambiente.A escola proporciona interações com outras crianças, professores e demais funcionários; a criança aprende não somente disciplinas curriculares, mas, também, à regras de convivência e institucionais. O Programa de Saúde na Escola, em seus documentos oficiais, aponta também o papel da escola como promotora de hábitos de vida saudáveis (2) . Os hábitos de vida além de serem regidos por uma cultura, um contexto e um tempo, quando se remete ao conceito de eliminação urinária infantil, este "hábito" também passa a ser considerado uma necessidade fisiológica, que pode ser modulada por aspectos sociais e culturais, ou seja, a eliminação urinária é vista como um hábito/comportamento, mas, sobretudo, como uma necessidade humana básica (3) . Os Sintomas do Trato Urinário Inferior (STUI) são caracterizados pela modificação da dinâmica vesical, quer seja no armazenamento ou esvaziamento vesical, ou incontinência urinária diurna, sintoma caracterizado pela perda de urina durante o dia (4) . RESUMO Objetivo Mapear e descrever a ocorrência de sintomas urinários e intestinais durante a infância e investigar o impacto de tais sintomas nas experiências vividas por crianças e suas famílias. Método Revisão sistemática de métodos mistos realizada nas bases eletrônicas MEDLINE/PUBMED, CINAHL, LILACS, PSYCINFO e EMBASE em julho de 2019, as quais geraram 3.020 referências. Após remoção das duplicatas, 2.521 títulos e resumos foram triados com filtro de tempo, e aplicado critérios de inclusão. Desses, 31 artigos foram lidos na íntegra e avaliados quanto à qualidade metodológica pelo Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool, resultando em 15 artigos como amostra final. Resultados Foram encontrados: sentimento de inferioridade, agressividade, culpa e vergonha. A revisão evidenciou, ainda, o impacto negativo dos sintomas urinários e/ou intestinais no contexto social da criança e de sua família, em especial, no ambiente escolar. Conclusão e implicações para a prática Essa revisão sistemática de métodos mistos evidencia a importância de trabalhar os impactos emocionais e sociais da criança, em especial os eventos no ambiente escolar. Se faz necessário subsidiar o profissional de saúde na assistência às famílias e crianças com sintomas urinários e/ou intestinais, no sentido de prover um cuidado ampliado, valorizando as necessidades biopsicoemocionais da díade criança-família.
