INTRODUÇÃOA pandemia de Covid-19 tem impactado a saúde, ocasionando uma nova pandemia de adoecimento mental. Com significativo impacto na saúde pública, observa-se um crescente aumento de transtornos mentais entre a população, especialmente os jovens adultos, com tendência à automedicação e uso de psicofármacos (OMS, 2022).A saúde mental no contexto atual da pandemia tem levantado inúmeras discussões, dentre essas se destaca a saúde dos pós-graduandos, mestrandos e doutorandos. Tal população vivencia um ambiente desafiador e com diferentes demandas, tanto pela jornada excessiva de trabalho, como pelo desenvolvimento de pesquisas (dissertações, teses e outros) e a exigência de alta produtividade (aulas, créditos universitários, participação em eventos científicos e publicações em revistas renomadas), que juntamente as questões pessoais, profissionais e financeiras, os tornam mais suscetíveis ao adoecimento mental (GARCIA DA COSTA, NEBEL, 2018).Dentre as possibilidades de tratamento para os transtornos mentais, se destaca o uso de psicofármacos, medicamentos modificadores seletivos do Sistema Nervoso Central, que alteram o estado mental, influenciando o comportamento, o humor e a cognição (PRADO; FRANCISCO; BARROS, 2017).O acompanhamento de sintomas de quem usa psicofármacos deve ser realizado de modo cuidadoso, devido efeitos colaterais e alta dependência. Ademais, o aumento de prescrição e o uso de psicofármacos estão ligados à vida contemporânea, na qual se cobra constantemente por produtividade e sucesso (NASARIO; SILVA, 2016).
Introdução: O baixo desempenho escolar é um fenômeno cuja origem está calcada na inter-relação entre os aspectos biológicos, psicossociais, culturais e históricos do desenvolvimento humano. É tema de preocupação entre profissionais da educação e da saúde, bem como entre os responsáveis pelos alunos afetados. Quando identificados precocemente, os prejuízos causados pelo baixo desempenho escolar podem ser mitigados. Caso contrário, os danos podem se estender até a idade adulta, prejudicando o indivíduo em diferentes contextos de vida, tais como: social, acadêmico-profissional e emocional. Objetivo: Identificar fatores de risco associados ao baixo desempenho escolar de crianças e adolescentes a partir de uma revisão integrativa de literatura. Método: Busca nas bases SciELO, PubMed, ERIC e PsycINFO, entre 2009 e 2019. Resultados: Foram encontrados 24 artigos relacionados ao tema, sendo os estudos observacionais os mais frequentes. Os fatores de risco encontrados foram categorizados em: individuais, familiares e escolares. A categoria mais citada referiu-se aos fatores de risco provenientes do contexto familiar. Conclusão: O ambiente familiar foi identificado como o principal gerador de fatores de risco para o fracasso escolar.
