Malgré des décennies de promotion fervente en santé publique, l’allaitement est souvent interprété comme un acte inapproprié, voire dégoûtant. S’appuyant sur les théories féministes du corps, cet article propose une théorisation de la corporéité « déviante » qui remet en question les dichotomies esprit/corps et nature/culture ainsi que le rôle de la médicalisation dans l’élaboration des discours autour de la lactation. C’est dans cette optique que l’auteure analyse l’acte d’allaiter et les différents regards qui objectivent l’allaitement et le façonnent. Elle conclut en identifiant de potentiels modes de résistance aux discours et aux pratiques dominantes.
Résumé
Actuellement, le nombre de personnes âgées vivant en couple et susceptibles de s’adresser à un service social augmente. Basé sur l’analyse qualitative de 13 entretiens avec des assistants et assistantes sociales accompagnant des personnes âgées et travaillant dans la partie francophone du Valais (un canton de la Suisse), cet article vise à explorer les questions suivantes : d’une part, comment la conjugalité est-elle prise en compte dans le cadre de l’accompagnement social de personnes âgées ? D’autre part, comment les inégalités de genre et les situations de couples conflictuelles sont-elles gérées ? Enfin, comment les prises de décision et les pratiques professionnelles face à ces situations sont-elles justifiées ?
Résumé Cet article présente les résultats d’une recherche sur les mesures de travail social de proximité destinées aux jeunes dans le canton de Vaud (Suisse). En se basant sur les entretiens semi-directifs réalisés avec les professionnel(le)s, il questionne le concept de proximité et met en évidence deux modèles de travail qui ne parviennent pas toujours à répondre aux besoins des jeunes ni à ceux des institutions mandantes.
