Una de las formas de facilitar y optimizar la investigación cualitativa que utiliza grandes cantidades de datos obtenidos en entrevistas y/o cuestionarios es el uso de softwares específicos para este propósito. Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo identificar las publicaciones en las bases de datos Spell y Scielo que utilizaron el estudio de los softwares de análisis de datos cualitativos. Se utilizaron los términos "Nvivo", "MAXQDA", "Atlas.ti" y "Software de análisis de datos cualitativos", donde se encontraron 181 artículos. Se decidió hacer la investigación más genérica posible, haciendo el filtro al examinar los artículos a través de la lectura individual, solo se seleccionaron aquellos que analizan y evalúan el software y no aquellos que los utilizan como herramientas, lo que resultó en 9 artículos . Luego, la fase de sistematización de los resultados comenzó a realizar el análisis, buscando resaltar los elementos que los autores de los artículos publicados abordaron en su investigación de acuerdo con las categorías especificadas para esta investigación. Entre los resultados obtenidos, se destaca que el software ayuda al proceso de análisis de la investigación, sin embargo, se enfatiza el papel insustituible del investigador, con la necesidad de un conocimiento previo del software y su estructura de trabajo. Además, se presentó un resumen de la estructura para el uso del software QDA.
